Emeka — Industrial Engineer

Working with the senior administration arm of the college to attend to top management issues involving the daily running of the college Working with diverse teams enabled me to work closely with the office of the campus president and to be in constant contact with other departments in the college in order to provide feedback of how the campus if fairing. Work closely with administrative staffs to consolidate ideas, feedbacks and decisions that were made. I observed and reported any issue(s) that arose from the implementation of decisions. I managed and resolved most issues and incidents that arose on the campus. I planned and oversaw some projects and events.

Work closely with the management of the Industrial and Systems Engineering department of Wayne State University to ensure a smooth run of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) programs Responsibilities I ensured proper documentation of all the documents related to ABET and HLC. Worked closely with management to resolve any discrepancies in the associated documents and procedures. Myself and some team mates frequently carried out an analysis on the data available and make enrollment predictions using Microsoft Excel. I managed and updated all documents on the HLC platform online – Compliance Assist. Additional Input I took the initiative of suggesting, and implementing a much tidier method of storing documents. Rather than gather all the documents in hard copy and piling up inventory and making it much more difficult to go through, converting them to electronic or soft copy and storing them in the cloud was tidier. In addition, it would not require inventory and the information can be accessed anywhere.

I worked in the inventory unit of this FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) company to make sure we always had enough goods to service the demands of our customers. Responsibilities On a daily basis, I made sure the quantity of goods demanded of the customers matched the quantity supplied to them by taking appropriate stock of the inventory. I made sure the quantity of goods we ordered from our sister branch in Kaduna State in Nigeria matched the quantity demanded from Lagos and were bar-coded to help make inventory monitoring easier. Based on the fact that the goods were perishable goods, I helped ensure the goods were properly preserved in the freezer to keep them fresh. I also supervised that the goods demanded by our customers were supplied to them JUST IN TIME.

I worked in the Information Technology unit of National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS) which is an arm of NNPC which required me to manage network issues and report advanced issues to the company's management and also ensure all staff PCs were fully functional. Responsibilities Used Symantec servers to monitor systems experiencing downtimes and help resolve them. Also used Symantec to provide system security across the entire NAPIMS. Helped staffs resolve system issues such as network problems, hardware incompatibility and system software
