Although primarily self-thought I have attended several Rockwell and ELAU training classes and would like to advance my skill level with additional advanced and additional manufacturer training.

My introduction to PLC goes back many years. While I started my career in mechanical, I believe that it strengthened my ability to program. Knowing the mechanical philosophy of the machine makes it much easier to follow and understand the program. While most of my training is on the job, I hold Rockwell certificates in controls maintainer, programmer and motion. I am also proficient with Siemens S7, ELAU (Schneider) and several additional platforms.
For the past 10 years I have been involved with FANUC robotics in many applications. Including single arm, food grade, LR mate and Delta. Familiar with Roboguide software and iRVision tools. Installation, mastering, setting up user frames, adding new product formats, debugging issues.

I consider this to be one of my strongest assets, knowing that PLC programs do not change by themselves I tend to look for mechanical issues before diving into a program. A talented programmer can sometimes program around a mechanical issue but when that part finally fails, their changes could be detrimental.
