Greenwood, SC 29649 July 1998 to Current SCADA Technician Responsible for all electrical and computer systems at the water treatment plant for the city and county of Greenwood, South Carolina. The job duties include but are not limited to maintaining SCADA System (computers,PLC, HMI), calibration of instrumentation (flow, level, pressure, pH, turbidity, analyzers), ethernet network, historical databases, variable frequency drives (1 hp to 700 hp), maintaining electrical equipment and troubleshooting (208 vac to 2400 vac), rebuilding pumps, liquid feeders and altitude valves on elevated tanks. I also create and update electrical and mechanical drawings using the Autocad 2019 software. Other responsibilities include ordering and maintaining supplies, helping with the yearly budget and assisting mechanical employee when needed. Over the past 20 years I have replaced obsolete equipment with newer equipment by installing and interfacing it with the SCADA/electrical system. There have been occasions where replacing or adding new equipment required an outside contractor. During the process I would help the engineer over the project with the specs and drawings, oversee the project by answering contractor's questions, and interfacing the new equipment with the SCADA system. As the only SCADA Technician on staff I was on call 7 days a week 365 days a year. In the beginning of my career with CPW I was called in an average of three times per week.
