Matthew — Automation Engineer

While working for Kuka, I completed the software design for a Ford rail, final stud, and subassembly systems. After designs had been finalized, I followed the project to Kaka's build shop to continue PLC programming of the rail system. From powering on of the system, all the way through commissioning and taking the line to customer buyoff I supported the line. The system is currently preparing to ship and be installed at the customer's facility.

September 2017 - January 2018 While working for Kuka, I was the sole Fanuc programmer on a GM project being shipped to Oshawa, Ontario. At the time was the largest single fanuc robot in use in North America and a series of robot carried nut runners used to pick truck cabs and beds, load them onto the truck chassis and fasten them together. Followed the project to Oshawa and ensured the system was running to spec and within cycle time before completing the project. - Tesla (Fremont, California )

May 2017 - September 2017 While working for Camau at Tesla motors as a robotics technician, my responsibilities included Fanuc robot setup, commissioning, programming, debug, cycle time improvements and keeping detailed records of all completed work. I worked to ensure a successful project from the beginning cold build to completed production, daily tasks included programming of weld paths (Aluminum and Steel), sealer paths, pick and drop programs, zone set up and testing, debug of program IO and testing of all program logic. - Chrysler Automotive (Belvidere, Illinois)

October 2016 - April 2017 While working with Kuka for Chrysler in Belvidere, I helped to launch the new model, my responsibilities on the project included set up, programming, debug and cycle time improvements of ABB and Fanuc robots. I was responsible for set up and programming of all Nelson stud controllers on the projects, developing and implementing programming standards for the projects ABB robot logic, and training of fellow programmers. My tasks while on the project included testing of logic, mastering of conveyors, teaching MIG paths, verifying and testing zones, teaching sealer programs, ensuring deadlines are met while continually updating the customer. - Massiv Canada

May 2016 - October 2016 My role with Massiv as a robotics technician included install, setup, programming, debug, and improvements of Fanuc robots. While with Massiv I successfully helped with the programming and install to customer site of four rail assembly lines including 200 robots. My tasks included initial setup, programming of picks, drops, sealer paths, spot welds, Mig paths, aluminum spot welding, cycle time improvements, DCS setup and troubleshooting, and I/O setup. Other tasks include documentation of all robot tasks and communicating with the customer all progress of the project to meet crucial deadlines. - Kuka Industrial Robotics (Windsor, Ontario)

January 2015 - May 2016 My role with Kuka as a robotics technician included a broad range of task, programming Fanuc, Abb, and Nachi robots for the new model at Chrysler. My tasks included the programming of sealer beads, weld paths, material handler robots, world zone and safety zone setup, tool change programs, hard stop installation, robot setup, I/O setup and debug, cycle time improvements. Other tasks included programming and troubleshooting rack programs for multiple robots, crucial documentation of all completed work and tasks was also a large portion of the role
