Roles and Responsibilities: Programming support in build of automated robotic lines primarily for the automotive industry. Lead teams of 15+ programmers. Applications include spot welding, mig welding, material handling, adhesive application, palletizing and vision. Robots include ABB, Fanuc, Kawasaki, Motoman, Nachi and Panasonic robots with 80%+ being ABB and Fanuc. Program robots and integrate with PLCs and peripheral equipment. Ensure that all customer requirements and standards are met. Responsible for installation and re-commissioning of robots at customer site including training of technicians on safe and proper use of equipment, cycle time analysis and improvements, quality improvements, identifying downtime and assist in developing effective preventative/productive maintenance plans and advising on further improvement of processes and software. Designed end of arm tooling, tooling fixtures and system layouts using Autodesk Inventor 8 and 9 (2000+ hours experience)
Roles and Responsibilities: Maintain and troubleshoot automated Fanuc Robotic mig welding cells. Robots primarily consisted of single robot systems controlling 3 axis positioners. Robots utilized touch and laser sensing to accommodate for part variance. I was also responsible for all aspects of supporting production including mechanical and electrical maintenance. Only maintenance/tech support on night shift.

Responsible for all equipment in assigned areas including tooling, weld equipment, robots, electrical, sealer equipment, nut/stud feeders and welders. Also support during production of class A automotive enclosures for Mercedes and BMW. Applications include spot welding, mig welding, adhesive application, material handling, roll hemming and nut welding. Document downtime and performed maintenance utilizing SAP. Order replacement parts as required.
