Estimated projects.

Responsible for managing multiple high profile projects for the North American market, mainly automotive suppliers. Functions include direct customer interface, contract negotiations, controlling scope, budget and schedule, managing project inventories, resource management, risk identification and mediation. Also identifying areas of project cost reductions and increasing profits, working with manufacturing to increase productivity, procurement to reduce material cost, and HR to control contractor costs. Proficient in all Micro-Soft programs including MS Project. Involved in every project area from concept to installation and customer acceptance/sign-off.

Responsible for managing bus, motor coach and trolley door projects for the North American market. Functions include customer interface, on site first article installation (FAI), managing inventories, labor/cost, schedules, adherence to specification, developing end user relationships as well as exploring additional sources of revenue. Identifying possible areas of project cost reductions and increasing margins, working with manufacturing to increase productivity and reduce manufacturing times, working closely with engineering regarding existing products and the development of new designs.

Project Manager (4+ yrs.) Responsible for managing various size projects for customer service division. Job functions include on site first article installation (FAI), meeting project milestones, managing project inventories, labor and material cost, scheduling, field crews, customer relationships as well as identifying areas of possible improvement, project cost reductions and increasing margin, working with production to reduce manufacturing cost, working closely with engineering, estimating and procurement departments. Projects involved HVAC systems, Auxiliary Power Supplies (APS), brakes, couplers, windows, doors and door systems. Transit Cost Estimator (1yr) Responsible for estimating small and large new and existing OEM & CS projects and spare parts RFQ's. Job functions included gathering labor and material cost history, acquiring current costs of long term projects by calculating new 'man hour' figures and securing contracts with suppliers, developing existing vendor relationships as well as exploring additional sources of materials. Also involved in identifying possible project cost reductions, working with engineering, manufacturing and project management in the identification & replacement of obsolete parts.

Project Manager/Plant Manager Position responsibilities included managing projects from concept to installation and validation, working with clients (engineering contractors & end users), in house engineers & vendors in the development, design & manufacture of process control systems (including MMI, DCS, instrumentation & motor controls). Knowledgeable in the use of AutoCAD, Microsoft & other computer programs. Other responsibilities included P&ID take offs, estimating, specifying & purchasing materials, managing project inventories and shop materials, managing projects through the manufacturing & installation phases, assisting customers in final testing & acceptance to NEC, NFPA & UL requirements and all supervisory & HR functions, i.e. hiring, firing, reviews, benefits, etc. Also worked closely with fabrication and machine shops in the design, pricing and final inspection of custom fabricated enclosures as well as many types of mechanical and fabricated assemblies. Responsible for all plant operations, including maintenance, repairs, upgrades, etc... Experience in wiring, terminations, conduit, start-up, MMI's, PLC's, ladder diagrams, schematics, P&ID's and government/nuclear projects. Projects included virtually all sectors and industries, including manufacturing, chemical, semi-conductor, material handling, paper, wastewater, etc...
