Supervising 30-40 employees: Press Operators, Die Team, Material Handlers, Packers, Painters, QC Technicians, Shipping and Receiving. Ensured die team was staged and prepared for quick changeovers. Guiding and training of all staff. Charged with all hiring, firing, discipline, hours tracking, scheduling, plant safety, cleanliness, production and scrap tracking, and implemtation of 6S and making sure these principles were followed. Responsible for plant shutdown procedures and securing of several buildings.
Lead a team of CNC Centerless Grinders. Operated machines and ensured the team supplied the plant with quality products. Gaging and use of SPC/QMS and documentation. Hi-Lo operation and material handling.
Lead a group of inspectors for the 100% inspection of parts. Use of SPC/QMS to ensure only quality product was shipped. Set-Up and organized the entire warehouse for inspection, packing, and shipping.
Worked closely with salaried staff to produce quality product. Use of various gages, SPC/QMS, Audits, Gage R&R, LPA's, WCM, etc. Scheduling for hourly staff, i.e., daily and overtime hours. Reported daily production and scrap counts. Use of computers for various tasks. JIT principles to feed Sub-Assembly, which fed the final line. Use of Lean techniques and 6S
