Designed an Automated Well Testing Project that reduced the need for having a production separator on every well. Dramatically lowered facility installation costs associated with measurement/SCADA. Converted the Scada Environment from individual name licensing to share concurrent Licensing. The Scada environment was able to then be accessed through Citrix providing a more mobile solution. EL PASO EXPLORATION & PRODUCTION (E&P), Houston, TX 2007 - 2011 Measurement Supervisor Transitioned from hands-on Engineer to Supervisor and took charge of personnel conducing measurement, personnel, construction, and normal production. Dramatically lowered operating costs associated with measurement/SCADA. Managed testing twice annually for sampling of 1500 wells. Kept pace with installations of 80 wells annually. Supervised six measurement technicians covering diverse basins. Ensured accurate measurement of natural gas systems; provide assistance in troubleshooting issues related to variable speed drives; and ensured all the production wells were pumped off to maximize production of natural gas. Managed automation design and installation for control of a water-disposal pond system with total project value over $1M. New pond system increased production of natural gas by approximately 500 MCF per day. Wells had been restricted by high water line pressure were producing again. Designed and implemented new interface screens that increased measurement accuracy and cut maintenance costs. Built operator interface screens - using Cygnet Studio - while supervising replacement of 60 measurement devices and meter tubes a year. Supervised a $600,000 upgrade project each year during 2008-2011, including annual replacement of 50-60 measurement devices. Project cut maintenance costs $10,000 annually and greatly improved measurement accuracy. Achieved capital cost savings of $100,000 for the replacement of 50 wells while simultaneously reducing maintenance costs by $10,000. Reduced emergency-maintenance costs associated with lockup of master radios by designing programmable logic controllers (PLCs) that automatically reset the power of locked up master radios. New PLCs cut maintenance costs by over $3,000 annually. Collaborated with two other supervisors on $12M O&M budget for $70M annual oil & gas sales.

SOLA COMMUNICATIONS LLC, Lafayette, LA 2002 - 2004 Systems Engineer (2003-2004); Information Systems Technician (2002-2003) Advanced to systems engineer and tasked to increase the number of projects for various customers. Led the automation group, filled a leadership gap, and quickly became expert on Sola Communications systems. Established SCADA systems that dealt with MOSCAD, Control Microsystems ScadaPack, and G.E. Versamax programmable logic controllers. Made key contribution to project analysis and bidding of automation projects for automation group. Designed panel layout drawings using AutoCAD for automation system for oil and gas, water and waste water systems.
