Global Solar Energy Tucson, AZ 2018-Current Control Engineer - Immediately and exclusively inherited ongoing R&D project which required correcting and re-engineering of the electrical and control drawings. - Took the responsibility on own time to rewire above mentioned project's control cabinets, and field devices consisting of all I/Os for Allen Bradley 13-Slot 1756-L55 ControlLogix 5555 controller (PLC), as well as 480v-120v distribution cabinets. - With limited on hand information, and no turnover, was able to determine from the end-user, and equipment group what the machine requirements were, and began to immediately correct deficiencies in existing logic and Automation Direct HMI programs which were only 25% complete. - Utilizing Rockwell Studio 5000, completed over 1000 rungs of ladder logic to complete the R&D project to meet the hard deadline for acceptance testing. - Responsible for correcting deficiencies in the existing programming of a roll rewind machine and adding end of roll, end of run logic so the machine would run in a safe, correct and efficient manner. This included designing the entire electrical system and CAD drawings for the above mentioned ATS project. - Programming languages utilized in redesign are C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, as well as programming function block logic in HMI, PLCs and integrating different communication protocols such as Modbus and BacNet necessary to automate, control and update these antiquated Automatic Transfer switches (ATS) systems on campus which can now be controlled and monitored on UA intranet or internet.
