Nature's Farms Skin Care provides natural skin care products that utilize only natural ingredients featuring goat's milk produced on the family farm. As owner and operator of the skincare business I have developed and tested formulas to produce natural skin care products that we produce and market. The original concept was spawned as a project for my daughter's FFA project but has become a small but steady business of producing all-natural skin care products that are perfect for those who suffer from dry skin, psoriasis, eczema, rashes and poison ivy. Other customers include mothers of soldiers stationed overseas in dry conditions to allow their sons and daughters to maintain moist, pliable skin. We also provide products to cancer patients who require chemical free skin care products. Operations Manager for Quality Counts in Columbus, Ohio where I managed all aspects of the business for marketing, sales, business growth, operational excellence, customer service, managing field technicians, report analysis and troubleshooting equipment. Responsibilities included obtaining staffing, safety education and management, scheduling of projects, insuring adherence to company policies by all employees under my management; and maintaining inventories on operational equipment including repairs to malfunctioning equipment. As operations manager for the local office in Columbus, balancing the many scopes of responsibility require excellent time management and multitasking skills to insure the customer experience and expectations of the highest quality at the lowest cost delivered on time were met every time. Quality Counts is a full-service traffic data collection firm founded in 2003 in Portland, Oregon that performs all sorts of traffic studies and surveys. Included are the standard tubes and turning movement cameras as well as surveys using Blue Tooth devices to tracks movements of vehicles. Radar units are utilized to detect movements on high volume interstates and drones are deployed to study parking lots and large crowds. Additionally, capabilities include highway curvature studies to meet government standards for determining highway curve signage. Worked on many high impacting projects such as Voicemail, toll switching equipment, wireless evolution, early GUI development, development of automatic defect data collection systems, ISO process development and implementation of kaizen techniques. Worked with production associates to help coach them in understanding how to break down complex equipment into its smaller components. Led cross-functional teams to bring together production, engineering and management to resolve issues affecting all levels resulting in many millions of dollars in cost reductions/avoidance and revenue generation. Known for resolving problems and troubleshooting defects. Champion of failure mode and root cause analysis developing methods to create pattern matrixes for the defect classes. Worked tirelessly at developing and documenting process improvements to avoid similar issues with future product introductions into manufacturing. Documents became the basis for our DFM and DFT processes utilized in cross-functional teams of design and manufacturing engineering to reduce by six months introduction into manufacturing. Wrote and published several papers that provided the opportunity to present these papers at many conferences around the country. Became very proficient at MS Office suite applications. Was location's lead engineer for the implementation of ISO 9002 processes for testing. Developed processes and documentation to comply with ISO 9002 certification process requirements. Championed the auditing process for our location - routinely singled out for the completeness of our processes by auditors. Through working with National Instruments, developed and patented a process to swap out instrumentation across manufacturers in test sets without modifying software. This has become an industry standard known as Interchangeable Virtual Instruments.
