Substantial experience Integrating a variety of Keyence hardware for proper assembly verification, barcoded part tracking and QA. Including use of IV cameras for inspection of part installation and LJ scanner for pin height verification on 128 pin VCM. Have also used multiple Keyence SV area scanners and GL-R light curtains for safety applications.

Extensive Experience over the last 4+ years integrating Cognex Smart Cameras and scanners for numerous part inspection, positioning applications, and OCR. Including development and integration of highly complex spreadsheet applications that allowed for significant flexibility and machine configuration solely using the Cognex Spreadsheet program.

Most recently used the new Fanuc CRX-10iA/L in a tracking application doing close quarters (~4") non contact measurements on finished production cars and trucks for Nissan, Canton, MS. Recent in depth experience integrating Fanucs for machine tending application using iRvision for bin picking with tight clearences, protected using DCS. Other experience interfacing and modifying TPP's on numerous projects over the last 5 years as well as early project ROBOGUIDE simulations and PalletTool setup.

Recently spent 3 months developing robot integrated vehicle tracking program from scratch. This project required the integration of multiple 3rd party co.ponents of profinet, this include 2 new Fanuc CRX's, RTA Conversion boxes for Ethernet IP and Socket connections as well as ANYBUS modules for TCP/IP. Also integrated this wirh GE Cimplicity for HMI and basic scada operations.

Completed 2 projects in 2017 and 2018 that used Epson RC600 Controlers with Scara Robots, My experience is with modifying existing code, pick point calibration, and creation of new Epson Vision Picking Applications.

Recent experience developing an assembly machine application from scratch using Siemens TIA Portal, required integration of multiple other manufacturers including Rexroth Drives, Rexroth Tightening System, and Cognex Hardware; in addition to Siemens VFD's and HMI.

Used Sysmac Studio as the overhead controller in a robotic filling machine tending application.

Stevens Aerospace Multiple service calls helping with an aging SLC 500 aviation paint booth control system. 2022-2026 Koops Automation Multiple automation systems with various controls system brands including Studio 5000, TIA Portal, Fanuc, ABB, Keyence among others. Work was mostly in automotive and consumer goods with some packaging/pallatizing systems as well. 2022-2026 Consumer Electronics Manufacturer - Oregon/Indiana Bosch Rexroth controlled packaging lines for custom laser marking and repackaging of Consumer electronics for direct shipment. Complex process requirered tracking serialized parts through branching conveyor system with relabling and routing to direct to consumer fulfillment. 2021-2022 Yokohama - Ealsey, SC provided Fanuc R-30iA programming support to help with a down machine. Re-taught some positons and debugs some I/O issues. 2/1/2021 - 2/7/2021 Nissan North America - Canton From scratch programming debug and commissioning for an End of Line Final inspection system. This System Utilized Fanuc line tracking on the brand new CRX-10iA/L and was doing ~30 Body Panel Gap and Flush measurements along the length of the vehicle while tracking with the line movement. 2020 - 2021 Yokohama - Ealsey, SC provided Siemens S7 programming support to help with a down machine. There was some communitcation faults/issues keeping it from runnng. 2020-2021 Palmetto Vermiculite - Woodruff, SC ABB pick and place robot cell loading pallets. The system had a communication fault due to replacement of a Cat5 cable for a Cat6 cable from the SMC valve manifold to the TwinCAT 3 IPC. I had to trouble shoot the issue and reconfigure the SMC ethernet manifold IP address and the IPC program logic. Sept-Oct 2020

2008 - 2009 (2 years)

At Edgewater, I served as the Lead Controls Engineer and Robot Programmer on many projects including custom inspection, processing, and assembly machines for the automotive and consumer products industries. I developed several flexible vision inspection and marking applications, precision assembly equipment utilizing RFID pallet tracking, Epson and Fanuc robot integration, multi-station vision inspection, and vision guided robotic machine tending. Responsibilities included: Generation of electrical and pneumatic schematics – designed custom electrical and pneumatic controls systems with significant space restrictions and advanced safety requirements. Development of a machine operation manual as well as on-site training for plant quality and maintenance staff. Management of assembly resources to ensure on time project completion. Completion of safety risk assessments for each machine as well as Sistema reports and safety circuit designs. Travel 2-3 months a year for equipment install and support in Mexico.

At Hartness Systems Group my primary job function was to develop and support controls solutions for packaging and bottling lines. The role required fulfillment of all electrical engineering tasks necessary from initial order to final execution. This included panel design, component selection, programming, and in the field troubleshooting. When in the field, I often served as the main point of contact to the customer and any onsite contractors.
