Aldo — Controls Engineer

In this role, I'm dedicated to the control and automation of automotive and industrial processes. My responsibilities include integrating new process stations or lines, supporting start-ups, designing, and debugging PLC programs in Allen Bradley, and ensuring the correct placement of auto-parts validated by cameras, sensors, and scanning. I've also worked on safety task logic and collaborated closely with customers in Mexico and the US, including notable names like Plastic Omnium, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz, Nissan, and Symbotic at a Walmart DC Warehouse, among others.

Here, I was in charge of maintenance for the Sterilization Area, managing 14 process lines for sterilizing cans and overseeing palletizer and depalletizer machines. My team and I provided preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, worked with servomotors, positioners, and managed SCADA systems for automated process control and product traceability.

My main activity in this company, dedicated to the automotive industry, was PLC programming of Assembly Stations. This role involved assuring the correct placement of auto-parts in various stations, validated by cameras, sensors, and scanning for clients like Volkswagen, Chevrolet, and Mercedes Benz.

In the Control Systems Department, I developed automation projects and industrial process control for significant customers like Bimbo, Caterpillar, Pirelli, Heineken, Hershey's, Femsa, and Cemex. My tasks included automation project development, material transportation systems, packaging, cooling, and product control using various PLCs, conducting FAT and SAT testing, and program backup and modification.
