Programming Skills (11)
I have worked with Siemens for most of my working career. The majority of my projects have been rewriting the program in Graph to be more robust, Adding a recipe manager to get away from using a fixed number of product variants, and Error proofing aka rabbit checks. Other projects were adding Cognex vision systems and hand scanners.
I have manly used excel for data analysis. Mostly pulling.csv dump files from machine or pulling from a database.
I used Fanuc years ago in forklift battery cells. The jars were cut to size per the customer's order. I had a few opportunities to make changes but one of the more significant changes I made was after an operator crashed the robot in the conveyor belt and we had to replace it with another one ASAP. This robot was going a palletization routine on the conveyor. Every position was based on a calculation of the last point placed on the conveyor. I had to go in and add an offset to account for the difference on the new conveyor then remove the offset after the container was placed on the belt.
Most of my experience has been with Siemens but I have done some work over the years with AB. I can do troubleshooting and minor changes with no issues but I would need longer than it would take me with a Siemens.
I have had advanced programming from Epson. I have worked with these for 3 years and they work well when you get them tuned in but after a crash, they can be very problematic. I can support them and make minor changes. It really depends on the original programmer and how clean the program is written.
Updated drawings to reflect wiring and hardware changes.
I had this programming in school and have really only had to do tooling offsets over the years.
Worked on building airflow test benches for automating testing on micro diaphragm pumps.

I have CSSBB training as well as ZF-production system train the trainer. I had process technician training at Corning Cable systems
I went to CVCC to learn to become a Machinist/CNC programmer. After I finished I went to work as a fiber optic mold technician. I have more experience repairing machines than operating them.

I have 10 years being a Manufacturing Engineer in the Automotive sector. I have made car batteries, drive shafts, control arms, heat barriers, and wire and cable shielding.
I have had a year and a half of being a Program manager. I feel like I need more Career development in this area. I am more focused on production and machines. I need to expand my scope to include the commercialization process.
I have had advanced DOE, CSSBB, and ZF-Production System training. I prefer to use Minitab. I have had four major DOE experiments. An optimization project I did on an assembly line that was 12 years old I was able to save 250k by decreasing the cycle time. this saved $260K in labor per year for 3 years and allowed the company to avoid buying new equipment to handle the customer's orders increase.
Have KUKA training: up to advanced programming. Epson SCARA training: advanced programming have experience with ABB, FANUC, motoman and Adept.
