Callan — Robotic Engineer / Project Engineer

A little bit about myself, I am a family man with two young girls five and eight (both of which love to learn about my job). My oldest (8) already treats cell creation as a game as I did when I was younger while my father also entstiled the mystery and desire to troulbe shoot... and made me scrape up a lot of sealer for "training"!

With over a decade of experience in robotics and automation, I have built my career around designing, integrating, troubleshooting, and deploying robotic systems from concept to production. My background spans robotics integration, process engineering, project leadership, and customer support across a variety of manufacturing environments.

Throughout my career, I have been responsible for taking robotic systems from an empty warehouse floor through build, programming, debugging, validation, and final installation at customer facilities. I have regularly worked directly with customers, lead projects, and provide process support across the americas. I’ve performed reach studies, created and optimized robotic simulations in FANUC RoboGuide, and worked extensively in paint, sealer, plug insertion (Lucid), and pick-and-place applications.

I am proficient in CAD design, which aids in system planning and layout. I consistently meet project deadlines, and I’m flexible with working overtime or traveling as needed to ensure project success. I consider myself an ambassador to the company who has assigned me to a project, and with that mindset consistently reflect a high level of professionalism, reliability, communication, and premier customer service that serves to ensure a strong and positive connection for future projects.

In addition to integration companies, I’ve also worked directly for FANUC, giving me a broad perspective on both technical development, customer needs, and a DEEP people of people to call on, I don't burn bridges I strengthen them and have pool of people to call of I ever need help (after all it's part of the job.)

I’m proactive, autonomous, and deeply passionate about robotics—it’s been a defining part of my life for more years than it hasn’t, and I thrive on bringing automation solutions to life. My goal over these contracts and jobs is simple but unbelievably effective. I aim to make those who hire me have a much less stressful life.
