I have primarily used Microsoft products for email, documents, and presentations. I have used Access to create my own databases for finding and identifying parts for my military vehicle hobby. I have also created a couple for tracking maintenance on my vehicles. I have used background programing in Excel to grab data for readings that our control room operators were manually having to get.

I have worked with 1305 drives all the way up to PowerFlex. I have experience working with Rockwell's Drivetools program as well.

I have worked with PLC 3 up to ControlLogix. I have created programs along with modified existing programs on projects ranging from several thousnads of dolllars up to a full scale 150 million dollar plant construction, check out, and start up.. I have experience with Panelview as well. I have experience using FactoryTalk viw on an existing setup. I have yet had the opportunity to set up one from scratch.

I have been in on a full scale project of replacing an existing HMI (Advisor-old school DOS type) with Wonderware utilizing Thin Clients. The 150 million dollar plant start up and check out I was involved with had Wonderware with a historian and utilized thin clients.

I have spent some of my free time learning Visual Basic so I can create some background coding and some basic programs to assist in making some of my tasks easier. I took a visual basic class a couple years ago to help in achieving my goal of getting better with it.

I have 20 + years of I&C experience. I have worked in all kinds of industries from food to chemical to demilitarization of chemical weapons. I have experience with most instrumentation out there, if there isn't something I haven't been exposed to, it won't take me very long to figure it out.

I have 20 + years of reading/understanding schematics. I have also had some experience creating, and editing them.

I have worked on commissioning anything from small pieces of equipment at food and beverage companies to a 150 million dollar facility.

I have some experience on designing equipment installs, and creating and revising drawings.

I have extensive experience with Rockwell Software and Allen Bradley PLCs. From PLC 3 to Controllogix.

Last year I was tasked with leading lock out tag out for a new 50 million dollar project build for our facility. I over saw 2 operators and our responsibilities were to understand the system, create isolation points, verify proper equipment labeling, create LOTO templates to be used by operations for lock out tag out, determine what types of rounds operations would need to perform, create new procedures for the newly installed equipment, and perform startup/check out activities.

I am all about development, sharpening current skills and acquiring new skills. In my current role as plant supervisor, my responsibility is to coach and assist my direct reports in their career development.

I have worked at sveral facilities where I have created and implemented site specific PLC training for our electrical and I&C personnel. Currently as an operations supervisor, my responsibility is to ensure that my new operators are properly trained, and get fully qualified. I have also worked with our training depratment on revising training and adding training.

My wife and I started an LLC for an Industrial Automation side business. My responsibilities are to consult with customers, quote jobs based on customer SOW, execute work for quoted projects, answer service calls from customers.

Coordinates and meets kiln waste feed plan. Ensure waste tracking compliance. Ensure employees wear proper PPE Enforce all safety, health, and compliance company policies and procedures. Ensure personnel are completing assignments, such as work orders, web based training, on time or early. Respond to emergencies as required.

Consulting, implementing solutions, and quoting work for controls division. Estimate & manage projects for controls division. Troubleshoot, program, repair, and PM equipment for customers.

Responsible for timely testing of generator, and transformer protective relays, breakers. Troubleshoot process or equipment issues. Responsible for coverage of 4 dams, Blakely, Degray, Cannon, Narrows Coordinate maintenance activities and equipment priority for repairs. Troubleshoot, repair, and PM SCADA equipment.

Responsible for the safe reliable operation of 2 800 MW coal fired units. Coach, develop, mentor my direct reports (11). Assist in troubleshooting problems and issues with plant equipment. Assist in revising training, procedures, and staffing.

Monitor and react to changing conditions during unti operation. Perform lock out tag out functions during routine operation and outages. I created some scripting in the background of a spreadseet that we had to manually input values into. We have a plant data collecting system (Pi) that had all those values. We had a lot of issues with CROs not getting the readings and writing them down so I created a button that can be pressed and grab the info out of Pi and populate the dated fields on the spreadsheet. Worked several outages as LOTO coordinator. Worked operations specialist for a 50 million dollar new equipment install.

Performed operational duties such as start up, shut down, rounds and readings, and also equipment troubleshooting and repair, all in a safe and effective manner.

Responsible for plant startup and commissioning, development, and maintenance of PLC programming (RSLogix 5000), HMI (WonderWare), and plant electrical equipment and instrumentation. Assist engineering and maintenance personnel with troubleshooting issues and/or developing solutions to issues. Assist in plant operator training with HMI and equipment. MSHA trained and certified. Took over Automation Engineer duties when engineer left company. Developed and implemented PLC training for plant electricians.

Responsible for updating, modification, and maintenance of the PLC and WonderWare software & hardware that control the operation and monitoring of the UMCDF plant systems and equipment. Assume Automation Supervisor duties when Automation Supervisor is absent or unreachable. Experience with Micrologix, Allen Bradley PLC 3 & 5 along with Advisor, WonderWare, InTouch HMIs. Systemization of WonderWare HMI project. Day shift liaison for automation during plant closure work. Contributed to site earning and retaining OSHA's VPP Star status. Develop PLC and HMI programs for various types of equipment built. Create and correct electrical schematics for various types of equipment built. Read and understand customer specifications and incorporate those into our equipment designs and operation. Install and coordinate equipment installation at customer facilities along with provide technical support and training for plant personnel for equipment built. Experience with Allen Bradley Logix 5000, 500, RSLinx, Drive Executive, and Active Factory Talk. Developed an alarm tracking screen along with other troubleshooting screens for equipment built. Fill in I&C Supervisor for my crew. Follow and maintain plant procedures and PMs. Responsibilities of my job include instrument calibrations, troubleshooting and repair of electrical / instrumentation components. Lead technician on the installation & systemization of Glove Box equipment. Brought it online 2 months ahead of schedule. Received spot bonus for repair of filter bank VFD issues. Had security clearance and maintained certification in (CPRP) Chemical Personnel Reliability Program. Served on a voluntary employee safety committee and helped the plant achieve over 10 million safe work hours. Completion of job training and certification early.
