Making frequent adjustments to different robotic welding paths. Well-rounded experience with Yaskawa Motoman robotics and weld cells. Perform preventative maintenance on robotic motors, gearboxes, and electronics. Electrical troubleshooting. Programming for manufacturing and robotics equipment Improve weld programs to reduce quality issues, improve cycle time, and prevent lost time. Designed and developed processes for joining technologies. Develop and change robotic software (KUKA robotic language) Conduct research, compile data and prepare papers for consideration and presentation by executives, committees, and management. Reviewing and approving cost estimates and design calculations for capital budget projects in excess of $500,000 Responsible for oversight of operational processes and verified compliance with Daimler standards. Served as the welding technical expert representing the company to an extensive supplier network for formed and welded products. Supported installation and daily manufacturing of 2 laser booth cells integrated with 4 KUKA robots. Robot process owner of the three different Joining Technologies (Spot Welding, MAG Welding, Stud Welding) Developed and coordinated projects which converted a robotic cell to a fixed automation weld cell. This reduced the weld defect rate from 85% to 8.3% based on 10,000 plus welds per day. Directly redesign of an automated resistance projection welding machine resulting in a reduction in scrap cost. Extensively involved with determining the root cause of premature failures using excellent knowledge and analytical skills to quickly identify problem areas and make recommendations for corrective action. Troubleshoot robotic software and hardware issues online and offline using programming software such as OrangeEdit, Beyond Compare, and WorkVisual. Conduct weld parameter and process changes to achieve optimal quality according to company standards. Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
