Challenge MFG Plant Pontiac MI. ABB / IRC5 robots cleanup of existing line: Improved cycle times, debugging, efficiencies, etc. Spot weld, Sealer application, MH, 1 stud weld and henrob rivet guns. There are about 60 robots in the system, RH and LH front rail with a cycle time of around 1min 30sec. Project was also extended to help commission the addition of 60 new robots to the existing line for 3 new model additions. Stayed on after installation and commissioning was completed for production support to help the line operators and robot tech learn how to support the line.
New equipment ramp up and production support for seating line. Mainly Kuka robots. SKS power systems. Mig welding.
