Since being elected to be a part of the DevOps team I have worked hard to help scale the company on the path to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. I have since pioneered the way toward implementing an Automatic Build and Test Pipeline using TeamCity as our Continuous Integration build server. Within a few short months (and while tending to my regular automation execution & maintenance duties, and more) I was able to expand my knowledge of the entire ALM process, devised and presented a proof of concept to upper management, and implemented a working prototype of TeamCity complete with much of the build, deploy, and notify script configurations in place. I have become familiar with MSBuild and also setup active build configurations to handle, execute and report results for a variety of different Test Frameworks including Selenium, TestComplete, CodedUI, NUnit, MSTest, and Xunit. I create new, update, troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing test automation, also build upon the existing automation framework and integrate new tests into the regression suite. Convert manual test plans to automated test suites that allow for cross-browser testing. Advise QA team how to organize and document manual tests in such a way to facilitate easy transformation to automated tests. Execute automation test suites and investigate issues using available application and server logs, browser developer tools, databases, and other tools and resources. Work with the QA Manager to develop, evaluate and adopt additional tools for automated testing. Assist and teach other QA members how to use automation tools to access application objects and create more robust routines.
