Assigned as Electrical Engineer in charge of 13.8 kV and 4.16 kV Switchgear and MCC modifications and upgrades in the existing facilities of a LNG Export Plant. Plant is expanding adding (3) more trains to become an Import/Export Facility. Primary duties included engineering, design, review and implementing changes and additions to equipment. Writing procedures, Method of Change procedures, Work Pack Method Statements as Construction works thru issues going into Outages. Responsible for Sub-Contractors brought into project to begin testing of Switchgear and Motor Control Centers. Worked with Client to resolve issues on Engineering as found in field. Will lead efforts in Start Up and Competitions of all electrical gear as Commissioning progresses. Transferred to Commissioning Group writing Energization and Start up Procedures for 34.5kV, 4.16 kV and 480 V Transformers, Switchgear and MCC's. 6/10 To 5/11 Sargent & Lundy Engineers Lead DCS Start Up and Commissioning Engineer Lead DCS Engineer with responsibilities for 35 people including Engineers and craft personnel during the Start Up and Commissioning of a 420 MW Coal Fired Power Plant. Duties to include monitoring Emerson Ovation Engineering Staff as plant systems were commissioned and Start up was completed.. As systems are loop checked, verified logic's, simulations, implemented changes to control philosophy to ensure systems meet the specifications of the client and engineering. Developed system and engineering for new control systems, including graphics and configurations and procedures. Worked with vendor/system engineers as they commissioned datalinks including MODBUS, Profibus and OPC protocols into the system.
