2004 - October, 2005 Cottonwood Energy; Deweyville, TX Maintenance Technician The 1200 MW electrical production site consisted of 4ea 1x1 combined-cycle units. Gas Turbines were GE and Steam Turbines were Alstom. Duties included normal maintenance activities such as general troubleshooting, as well as implementation of new and/or modified control schemes within the plant DCS and PLC systems. (AB PLC5, GE Mark V, Alstom P320, Bailey Net90). Outage planning and scheduling, as well as contractor control played a heavy role in my duties at this site. Work Experience

Work Experience 1999 - 2004 Power Services Associates, Inc.; Lawrenceville, GA Project Manager; Startup Manager; Lead Startup; Lead DCS; Combustion Turbine Emissions Tuner; Owner's Engineer; PLC Programmer I started out as Project Manager for a small, aero-derivative gas turbine generation division owned by PSA. The plant was a turn-key, 1.8 MW base load generator. This division was sold outright to another company. I performed EPC Startup Manager duties on Westinghouse Gas Turbine installations. These duties consisted of creating a schedule and executing the tasks to maintain that schedule. I was responsible for managing equipment supplier TFA/TDFI time, scheduling vendors, and generally ensuring that the people, material, and equipment were where they needed to be, when they needed to be there. As Owner's Engineer, I was responsible for tracking progress by the EPC, and witnessing testing, chemical cleaning, and steam/air blow cleaning. On one site I interfaced with PREPA (Puerto Rican Energy Authority), on behalf of Eco-Electrica, resolving issues and concerns dealing with the Power Purchase and Operating Agreement. My role as PLC Programmer had me completely redesign a control system for an Indirect Thermal Desorption unit (used to de-contaminate soil) on a Superfund project in Florida. I specified the type and number of PLC to use, built all logic from P&ID (and personal knowledge of the intent of the system), and built graphical interfaces using Wonder Ware. Siemens-Westinghouse contracted me on several occasions to perform gas turbine emissions tuning, as well as to perform Lead Startup and Lead DCS Engineer roles. As Lead Startup for the equipment supplier, I was responsible for seeing that the units were built according to the most current drawing revisions, and that all required testing was done in the proper sequence through each phase of the project. I gave final word on key milestones, such as "First Roll" (Turning gear operation), "First Fire", and "First Synch". As Lead DCS Engineer, I implemented all logic modifications, tuned control loops, and generally made certain that all things software were operating correctly

1990 - 1999 I/C Technician; PLC/DCS Programmer From 1990 - 1999, I worked several startup projects for various contract companies. Ethylene, Styrene, Refinery, Ammonia, and Power plant startups fall into this range. I did some work as Project Manager, but the majority of my work was as a startup technician or PLC Programmer (or both). My strong point throughout was my startup troubleshooting capability. Work Experience DCS Engineer I have been the primary DCS Engineer for an ABB 800xa system used to perform plant controls at this FGD site. I build logic and implement control schemes which allow the FGD to run with as operator input as possible. I am responsible for assuring that the control system operates the unit as defined by the System Description & Operating Guidelines. I created reporting tools in MS Access to track and report the progress of checkout, and to track required modifications to original design. The majority of instrumentation on this site is Foundation Fieldbus. All motor controls are performed over a TCP/IP highway interface. Work Experience Database Administrator - Project Controls Manager Valero Port Arthur Refinery, Port Arthur, TX. - I am responsible for adding the field plan to the KICS Database, building tools to export the data into Primavera 5.0, building tools that allow easy Database vs Schedule comparison, scheduling the OSBL activities, and much more. Work Experience February, 2008 - July, 2008 ENGlobal-Watco.; Beaumont, TX. I/E Planner DuPont River Works, Orange, TX. - I created a MS Access database to track schedule activity status. I built a program to extract schedule data from Excel workbooks, format it to be compatible with Primavera P3.1, imported 14,800+ I/E schedule items w/resources into P3, and leveled the schedule. I then performed coordination of all I/E activities during the course of the Ethylene Unit turn-a-round. INEOS Chocolate Bayou Works, Alvin, TX. - I built packages for and planned all I/E scope of work for a 2010 Ethylene Unit TAR. I created a MS Access database for I/E Planning efforts that is used to produce reports for all stages of Turn-a-round planning and execution

Work Experience December, 2007 - February, 2008 KAP Services.; Taft, LA I/E Planner I was responsible for the I/E Planning of an Ethylene Amine unit in the DOW Complex at Taft, LA. My duties include field walk down and take-offs for scoped instrument and electrical equipment, estimating manpower, and entering data into a proprietary MS Access database system

Work Experience February, 2007 - September, 2007 ENGlobal-Watco.; Beaumont, TX. I/E Planner In the course of this project, I performed turn-a-round planning for Control Valve, MOV, and electrical work to be performed during the 2008 turnaround at DuPont River Works in Orange, TX. I was integral in building the Microsoft Excel workbooks used for planning all aspects of the turn-around, as well as building code to automate much of the Excel template development cycle. I also began development of a MS Access database system to track contractor time and dollars, used for justifying the budget, reporting man-hour efforts for equipment or account type, and justifying contractor invoice at project end

Work Experience October, 2005 - February, 2007 P&O Ports, N.A.; Lake Charles, LA Automated Terminal Equipment Manager My facility was the only automated sack-loading terminal owned by P&O in North America. Site equipment consists of 2 Bailey Ship Loaders controlled by an ABB Procontic T200 PLC, a large conveyor system, 3 Beumer Paletpac palletizers, 6 Beumer Depalletizers, and a bagging facility with 4 bagging and sewing lines. Controls in the conveyor and bagging areas were performed using Siemens Step 7 and Siemens Step 5. Responsibilities included managing a small permanent maintenance staff of 3, as well as a variable staff of up to 10 workers. Sourcing and purchasing replacement parts, building a Preventive Maintenance program, and system design improvement made up the bulk of my daily routine
