Design CAD models for rotating ball valves, brackets and accessories using SolidWorks • Specify materials of construction in conformance with ASME/BPVC and perform design calculations • Size and select control valves for numerous gas and liquid applications • Responsible for project completion from conceptualization to implementation • Produce engineering drawings for manufacturing • Generate bills of materials and process routings • Maintain product version control in ERP system (Made2Manage) • Assess Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) • Verify design integrity of fellow engineers' work and confirm that it meets all applicable industry codes such as, ASME B16.34, B16.5, B31.1, B31.3, BPVC, API, NACE etc... • Experience working within ISO9001 quality system. • Developing and analyzing end to end mechanical properties based on material and surface coating. • Provide production support to assembly, machining, quality control, sales, sub-contractors/vendors and purchasing • Provide technical support to sales including valve sizing, chemical compatibility of materials assessments, creating preliminary designs for quoting, creating part numbers, and preparing dimensional drawings for complete valve/actuator assemblies • Specialized in R&D projects to help with cost-reduction and improvement in valve sealing methods and designs • Thorough understanding of GD&T and its usage in tight fits and on sealing surfaces • Develop testing procedures for all valves to ensure conformance to all international standards. • Acted as a liaison between the engineering and production team • Prepare technical reports, memos and replies to client • Perform required investigations for complaints and failures that arise with company products. • Experience developing products for nuclear, energy, aerospace and military sector while using code specified by them.
