Omar — Robotic Maintenance Technician

I support designated lines and create and modified existing programs to better the production of my employer. I performed maintenance work that involved light hydraulic work, pneumatic and air pressure work on fixtures.

Job duties are to design automated root systems that are used to increase productivity and precision. Reviewing/approving cost estimates and design calculations. Teach and reteach plan paths to robots. I also serve as support to various lines to meet the demands of the employer. I assisted other automation engineers with the installation of several other robotic cell operations.

Operated any and all equipment as assigned all robotic welders as well as other unrelated assignments. Meet quality and quantity goals. I performed my own repairs and touch-ups, change wire, change weld schedules, and my employer sent me to receive FANUC Training in Auburn Hills, MI. After I completed The FANUC certification class I was Given the open weld technician opening in this company. I helped set-up new lines, performed scheduled PM's on designated machinery. Pneumatic work was also performed.

Set-up and operate any/all assigned presses install correct tooling for scheduled job with little or with often no assistance, met quality and time expectations, fixed quality and maintenance issues. Reported and documented production numbers and downtime issues. Able to perform preventive maintenance and able to operate a fork lift.

This job required me to have knowledge in mold changing, machine setups and know how to identify several different materials. I also know how to operate every plant in the warehouse. My job as a floor manager also requires forklift driving and making sure that the plant is a safe and clean workplace. I also placed employees at machines that I got the most efficient and quality numbers. I had to fix machines and also started to learn a little robotic modifications.

Roskam Baking co. Is a well known baking and packaging company. For this Job I worked as a forklift driver and material handler. This Job required me to have knowledge in Forklift driving and also knowing where all the inventory is throughout the plant. I also had to unload and load product that was coming and going in the shipping and receiving department.

Belmont Leasing is a Road construction company that also leases Cat industrial equipment. My job was to lay underground duct piping (directional borer for forests water mains). I have experience with front end Loaders. Cranes and arc welding. I also have experience in remodeling and hanging drywall.
