My career in the industrial automation engineering field began in 1997. Since then I have been responsible for the design, programming, commissioning, and project management of hundreds of industrial control systems. Capable of complete automation control system engineering, from motor control center and control panel design, MES, SCADA & PLC/DCS programming and all aspects of system commissioning, tuning and troubleshooting. Experience with design and fabrication of industrial control cabinets to meet industry and customer requirements using standards such as UL 508 IEEE, IEC and NEMA. Able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, one line diagrams, general arrangement, assembly drawings and understand process flow diagrams. Experience with valve control and industrial instrumentation to include pressure, temperature, and flow transmitter technologies and application. Experience designing and implementing control network topologies including Ethernet networks such as Cisco routers and switches. Management experience has involved several years of project and team management and director level management of various IT and engineering related resources both locally and globally, development of capital (CAPEX) expenditure proposals for numerous projects and designing & managing university (UT Dallas Capstone) R&D software development projects. Additional experience developing client relationships and sales of IoT related solutions for the manufacturing industry.
