Eric — Automation Engineering

For the past 30 years I have provided multi-disciplined automation engineering and engineering management, as a working Engineering Manager in manufacturing and automation engineering. I have worked predominantly in the OEM sector identifying and providing automated solutions for manufacturers worldwide. Throughout my career my time has been roughly split between Design Engineering and Field Engineering / Commissioning. The majority of my experience has been within the OEM/Integrator sector frequently embedded for extended periods within client manufacturing facilities. I have designed and deployed solutions for a diverse range of industries that include food and beverage, brick and ceramics, carbon/graphite production, OEM and aftermarket automotive products, packaging, palletizing and conveyance, consumer goods, and munitions.

My discipline of expertise is electrical and control systems but I have competencies in mechanical and fluid power design, process control and combustion systems. I have demonstrable skills and experience to independently provide complete cradle to grave engineering but prefer to work in a collaborative environment leading and working with a team of mechanical, process and electrical engineers. Extensive travel has been a component of my career that has taken me to most of the US as well as nearly a dozen foreign countries across Europe, the Middle and Far East.

I am seeking an engineering leadership role in an integrator capacity or with a manufacturer seeking greater independence from integrators to provide in-house automated solutions. Travel is to be expected in any role that involves innovative engineering and commissioning, but I am primarily interested in positions that offer a good work-life balance.
