PLC Programmer contract in Traverse City, Michigan. $49.5/hr · 11 months.
Temp-to-hire.
Must be willing to move to Traverse City, Michigan at the conclusion of the contract. The rate of pay for direct-hire is between $70-$90,000 per year. Primary Responsibilities:
* Develop programming strategy, interface tables, a sequence of operation based on controls engineering, mechanical engineering and customer requirements for the project.
* Design specification
* Comply with customer-specific programming methods and integration strategy. Must be able to adapt to customer-specific programming methodology
* Competence in state and step logic
* Write PLC and HMI programs for customer integrated automated system either alone, or as part of a larger programming team.
* Ability to integrate TranTek-built automation into customer/other vendor-supplied equipment (interfaces, data exchange)
* Debug programming on the system after power and lead project testing through internal acceptance, customer acceptance at TranTek, and runoff acceptance at the customer site
* Validate system operation in regards to operation, cycle time, reliability/repeatability
* Integrate programming to various automation components programmed by others (robots, customer or outside vendor-sourced components, etc…)
* Integration to higher-level customer traceability/tracking/production control systems
* Develop programming-related section of operations and maintenance manuals
* Onsite setup, debug, runoff, training and post-acceptance support
