Automation Engineer contract in boyne city, michigan. $56/hr · 9 days.

We are installing an Ultrasonic Water flow meter for a client in Michigan. The flow meter will be connected to a gateway, which will be connected to local server in the client's plant. The flow meter information gallons per minute will be then accessed through our software system deployed on client's server.

Automation engineer is expected to perform following functions :

Step 1 : Configure the flow meter to specs and connect with gateway. Need to power up the meter through electrical cabling and configure it, and connect it with gateway using cables. There will be remote support available during this time. This step can be completed remotely - either in Troy or For Local Candidates it will be done in Boyne City. Expected Date for this is 04/14/23

Step 2 : Configure the flow meter in actual plant on the water pipe. Note - the maintenance team of client's plant will install the flow meter, it will need to be however configured and adjusted based on flow meter instruction found in manual. Again, we will have remote support available during this configuration. IT may require moving the transducers and positioing them for correct flow measurement. Note --- This will be done in Boyne City at client location. Expected date for this is 04-18-23

Step 3 : Help with securing the flow meter and gateway, and connecting them to power sources at client plant location. This will require some mechanical assembly. We will let plant maintenance team handle this, but your help will be required to assist and ensure everything is seamless.

Step 4 : Help with Gateway configurations and its connection to the server. Do final testing and ensure flow meter is working well, giving out data. Again, remote support will be available.

This is our first project with this specific client and everything needs to go smooth for future business expansion.

Preferred Candidates Local to Boyne City, Michigan or within a 50 Mile Radius of plant location ( 300 M-75 south )
