Profile
About Me
Robotics commissioning specialist from Germany, self-employed since September 2026 as RoboPower Solutions. Ten years of robot work on top of a mechatronics trade background and a German state-certified technician qualification in automation technology.
What I do: commissioning and re-commissioning of KUKA, FANUC and Yaskawa robot cells, from first power-up to stable series production. Programming in KRL, TP and INFORM, offline programming with KUKA.Sim and WorkVisual, safety configuration and acceptance to ISO 10218 and ISO 13849, cycle time and availability optimisation, and systematic fault finding on running lines. Work to OEM standards INTEGRA Wave 7 and the Volkswagen group standard VASS with VKR C4 and C5.
Where I have worked: automotive assembly and body shop automation, machine tool automation, and battery assembly for electric vehicles, as commissioning coordinator on a line with more than ten robot cells. International assignments in the USA (Charleston), Mexico (Celaya), the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Netherlands, plus four years of CNC service work in Thailand. Used to travel, shutdown windows and shift work on a live line.
How I work: I take the cell as it is, find the real cause instead of the symptom, and hand it back documented so the next shift can work with it. Based near Stuttgart, German national, available for assignments in Europe and worldwide from January 2027.
Skilled Trades 1
German dual apprenticeship as mechatronics technician at a machine tool manufacturer, followed by state-certified technician in automation technology. On a robot cell this means reading electrical schematics, checking wiring and sensors with a multimeter, tracing bus and safety circuits, and dealing with mechanical issues on grippers, tool changers and axes, rather than waiting for another trade before commissioning can continue.
Professional Competencies 2
Programming and fault finding on the same cell, which shortens the loop between finding a problem and fixing it. KUKA KRL, FANUC TP and Yaskawa INFORM, plus reading Siemens S7 and TIA Portal logic to follow a signal from the sensor through the PLC into the robot program. On running lines the priority is a stable cell at the end of the shift, with the change documented so the next person understands it.
Safety acceptance of robot cells to ISO 10218 and ISO 13849: KUKA SafeOperation 3.4 with safe workspace and tool limitation, FANUC Dual Check Safety, Yaskawa FSU, PROFIsafe signals and safe interlocking between cells and conveyors. Verification, documentation and sign-off together with the customer, plus lockout and tagout discipline, operating mode rules and risk assessment on site.
Applications 6
Machine tending and part handling on turning, grinding and hardening machines, gantry and linear axis systems, and robot assembly stations. Gripper and tool changer commissioning, part presence and position checks, collision free path planning, cycle time balancing against machine times. Joining processes in assembly cells, including clinching and riveting with TOX PRESSOTECHNIK equipment and screwdriving stations.
Commissioning and re-commissioning of robot cells from mechanical and electrical start-up through to handover to production: I/O and fieldbus commissioning, program adaptation, safety configuration and acceptance, cycle time and availability optimisation. KUKA, FANUC and Yaskawa cells in machining, assembly, dispensing and joining applications. Experience as commissioning coordinator for a line with more than ten robot cells.
Robot guided adhesive and sealant dispensing, including thermally conductive adhesive for battery and e-mobility components. Commissioning of dosing technology from Atlas Copco IAS (SCA) with GlueTech, intec Bielenberg and Hennecke polyurethane dosing: bead path teaching, flow and pressure parameters, temperature control, bead inspection, purge and maintenance routines, and the interface between dosing controller, robot and PLC.
KUKA KRL online and offline, FANUC TP and Yaskawa INFORM. Tool and base calibration, path and motion optimisation, gripper and I/O logic, interrupt and error handling, structured program architecture to OEM standards (INTEGRA Wave 7 and the Volkswagen group standard VASS with VKR C4 and C5). Offline programming and simulation with KUKA.Sim and WorkVisual.
Systematic fault finding on robot cells that stop, run short or produce scrap. Reading robot and PLC diagnostics, tracing signals across PROFINET and PROFIsafe, isolating mechanical, electrical, sensor and program causes, then fixing the root cause instead of the symptom. Re-commissioning of cells after conversions, relocations and long shutdowns.
Integration of vision sensors and camera systems into robot cells: SensoPart and Keyence vision sensors and code readers, teaching and lighting setup, position correction data handed over to the robot, tolerance and repeatability checks, interfacing to robot controller and PLC. Commissioning of pick position correction, presence and type checks and traceability reading.

My Business
Why Choose Me
Three brands, one person. KUKA, FANUC and Yaskawa, programming and commissioning and safety acceptance in the same pair of hands, so a mixed cell does not need three specialists and three handovers. Ten years of robot commissioning on top of a mechatronics trade background, which means a mechanical or electrical cause gets found and fixed instead of being passed on. Experience as commissioning coordinator on a battery assembly line with more than ten cells, so I can also keep order when several trades work in the same cell. I document what I change and hand the cell back in a state the next shift can work with.
Work Experience4

Independent contractor for robot commissioning and re-commissioning. Services: commissioning of KUKA, FANUC and Yaskawa robot cells, programming and program optimisation, safety configuration and acceptance support, cycle time and availability improvement, fault finding on running lines, and offline programming with KUKA.Sim and WorkVisual. Work to OEM standards INTEGRA Wave 7 and the Volkswagen group standard VASS with VKR C4 and C5. Available for assignments in Europe and worldwide.

Commissioning coordination of a battery assembly line in the automotive industry (KUKA KR C5, more than ten robot cells). OEM compliant commissioning to INTEGRA Wave 7. Safety acceptance and SafeOperation to OEM standard. Camera and probe guided adhesive applications for battery assembly equipment. Coordination of the robot commissioning work and team leadership on site. International project assignments in Germany and the Netherlands, plus 1.5 years in Hungary.

Offline and online programming with KUKA.Sim, WorkVisual, MotoSim and Roboguide to OEM compliant programming standards. Commissioning of FANUC, KUKA and Yaskawa robot systems internationally (Charleston/USA, Celaya/Mexico, Czech Republic). Machine integrated automation for high speed part handling with FANUC and Yaskawa Motoman, including HMI interface and customer specific parameter sets. Safety acceptance to ISO 10218 with FANUC Dual Check Safety (DCS) and Yaskawa FSU. Keyence bin picking: 2D and 3D camera guided position correction for automated gripping processes.

Installation and commissioning of high precision five axis CNC machines in Thailand. Maintenance and repair, service reports and failure analysis, after sales service, direct customer contact, coordination of the service team, cost estimates, and organisation and support of preventive maintenance programmes.
Education / Training / Certificates2

Two year full-time programme (2017 to 2019) leading to the German qualification of state-certified technician in automation technology and mechatronics. Content: control engineering, PLC programming, drive technology, electrical engineering, pneumatics and hydraulics, CAD, project work and technical documentation.

Three and a half year German dual apprenticeship as mechatronics technician at a machine tool manufacturer (2007 to 2011): mechanical assembly, electrical installation and wiring, pneumatics and hydraulics, control technology, measurement and final inspection. This trade background is the reason mechanical and electrical faults on a robot cell do not stop the commissioning.
