Performed as a part of a team to develop and manage maintenance plans and activities. Also, ran improvement and operational projects to improve system reliability and maintained requirements for governing agencies. These activities were coordinated across various departments including Health & Safety, Environmental, Operations, Maintenance, and Quality Control. • Developed maintenance plan to maintain operation of the steam boiler system, and meet all requirements set forth by the Tennessee State Boiler Inspector and the Tennessee Department of Energy Conservation. Also, executed maintenance repairs for the steam boiler system maintaining system availability to the plant. • Developed and executed projects to rectify deficiencies in the steam boiler system design that resulted in large maintenance expenditures and and equipment availability. These projects resulted in a decrease of maintenance expenditures by 25%. • Coordinated and supervised contractors to maintain schedule, quality and costs of maintenance and project work.

Worked as part of a team to develop projects to maintain current plant systems, and support new processes and product development. Requiring co-ordination between other groups within Corporate Engineering, Outside Engineering, Plant Engineering\Supervision, and Plant hourly personnel. • Conceptualized and Supervised installation of new Cooling Towers to maintain optimal cooling of current cooling load and a projected cooling load increase of 15%. • Performed duct velocity calculations and fan selection for cooling air needed for new process development, while designing the systems to achieve a reduction of horsepower requirements of 5% versus historic values. • Supervised contractors to maintain low costs and high quality of installations at Toledo, Ohio and Shreveport, Louisiana plant sites.

Performed various job duties on the plant site related to supporting new process development, equipment reliability, machine safety, and HVAC needs of the site. This required close co-ordination with Production Supervision, Maintenance Department, and Health & Safety. • Designed and supported Process Ventilation Systems and HVAC systems to meet internal company exposure levels to Beryllium dust. • Worked closely with maintenance personnel on troubleshooting equipment failures, and looking for long term solutions to prevent a similar failure. • Designed, specified and approved new equipment to be installed on plant site, while maintaining budgets and time lines. Keeping the Budget within 5% of approved level. • Designed acid storage and delivery system, while decreasing equipment energy consumption by 30%, and improving the reliability of the piping system by selecting higher quality components. • Selected and supervised contractors for numerous capital projects at the Elmore, Ohio plant site.

Responsible for the design, integration, and start-up new controls for customer's air compressors. Designs typically utilized the installation of Bay Controls proprietary controllers, requiring knowledge of the devices; control methodology; and instrumentation. • Worked with customers to select analog and instrumentation for installation. • Supervised installation, and performed start-up duties for the new controller. Systems Engineer (2006 - 2007) Internally designed, built, and tested new custom control products per customer's specifications. Including but not limited to: HMI/SCADA Systems, PLC Cabinets, and Communication Networks. Engineered Quality Manager (2005 - 2006) Developed and managed a quality system to review customer returns, and to analyze return data looking for trends or potential design issues. Maintained correspondence with suppliers, and performed audit to maintain high levels of quality. CAD Operator (2004 -2005) Prepared and developed electrical control drawings for proper installation of control systems, while maintaining a database of current drawing status.
