About Me

I am an Automation Specialist with experience in custom machine automation, electrical and pneumatic design, controls programming, project management, commissioning, and troubleshooting. I began working in the automation industry in 2016 and joined Easton Enterprises in 2026. I attended the University of Toledo and have completed specialized training in OSHA safety, TÜV standards, NEC safety, Rockwell Studio 5000 maintenance and troubleshooting, and Yaskawa and FANUC robot programming.

My background includes electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system design and integration, along with hands-on experience building, commissioning, and troubleshooting automated machinery. I work primarily with Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI platforms using Ladder Logic and Structured Text, and I have experience programming Yaskawa and FANUC robotic systems. My controls experience also includes AutoCAD, Keyence, Cambrian, and Cognex vision systems, as well as industrial communications including EtherNet/IP and IO-Link.

Throughout my career, I have worked on custom OEM automation projects serving the automotive, consumer appliance, metal extrusion, metal stamping, heavy equipment, battery manufacturing, and government defense industries. My machine experience includes robotic drilling, bonding and assembly systems, projection welding, plasma treatment, punch and bonding presses, conveyor systems, glass installation, adhesive dispensing, and automated material processing.

My typical responsibilities include electrical and pneumatic design, project management, resource allocation, robotic programming, commissioning, machine testing, safety verification, troubleshooting, and customer communication. I have also been responsible for coordinating electricians, machine builders, and controls engineers throughout the design, build, debug, installation, and startup phases of automation projects.

Some of the more notable projects I have supported include robotic routing, bonding, hardware installation, and assembly systems for molded composite automotive components, automated liftgate and windshield glass installation systems, truck fender and hood bonding equipment, adhesive dispensing systems, and automated bonding and punch press applications for major automotive manufacturers.

I have served as a Controls Engineering Lead and have led multidisciplinary teams of electricians, machine builders, and controls engineers on a variety of OEM automation projects. I also helped establish and develop an engineering co-op program with the University of Toledo, providing training and mentorship to engineering students entering the automation industry.

One of the strengths I bring to a project is my broad, hands-on understanding of machine building. My experience spans electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controls, mechanical assembly, and troubleshooting, which allows me to approach machine problems from multiple perspectives and stay involved throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, tinkering with projects, and spending time with my family.
