Malachi — Controls Engineer

About 50/50 material handling and welding appliaction. Material handing including, vision, despense, pick & Place, Palletizing, etc. Intgrated robotics cells from sctrach to supporting exisiting running lines, ramps, comissioning, etc, Fanuc (primary – TP, RoboGuide, PalletTool, CRX); BIW & MIG welding cells; complex seat frame welding fixtures & fabricated automotive parts

Allen-Bradley (primary – ControlLogix, CompactLogix, GuardLogix, ~80% of PLC work) Have primarily ingrated robot cells and other varous equipment into robot cells. Everything from Stamping presses, Injection modeling machines, Vision Systems, Despense Systems, Robot, Servos, VFDs etc. I have the experience from desinging systems from scratching and using major OEM standards of programming as well as engineering and managing saftey systems.

Electical Engineering of control cabinets, robotic cells & safety systems for the same.

I have programmed both PLC & Robot in varous different type of manufactuing proceesses. Majority of my expereience has been in robotic cells with other auxiliary quipment. These include equipment such as robots, stamping presses, dispensers, conveyors, servos, vision & laser measurment devices, palletizing, etc. Also well rounded in working in setting such as automotive, general manufacturing, pretty much everything except fluid control systems found in industrial kitchens.

Robotic Spot Welding, Mig Welding, Dispensing, Robotic Vision Guidance etc. Worked both BIW line as well as individual robotic cells. I also have experience both in Robot and PLC in complex structures such as seat frames. This includes clamp sequenceing, IO check out, robotic weld pathing, and hand shaking with the PLC/weldfixture to open clamps as the robot passes through to weld. I have also worked directly with qualtiy labs to prove out demension testing and destructive cut and etch testing to validate weld penitration and quality.

Engineered systems from scratch and support customers exisiting equipment. Primarly working with robotic cells other Auxilary euipment. I regularly bounce between PLC and Robot programing as needed on projects as well as define the inital thing like IO Maping, intial system concepting, to deploying and comissioning systems. I also go out as a contractor to support other OEM machinery.

In the position I worked from being a junior engineer in collage to being the lead project manager, and senior controls engineer. I also gained all of my inital controls experience here were I learned to do PLC Programming, Robot Programming, Electrical Engineering, Safety System Engineering.
