Hand programmed Fanuc and ABB robots for automotive production. Installed and assembled FANUC and ABB robots at client facilities. Built and designed prototype fixtures for customers. Installed, Programmed, and assembled multiple vision systems. Wrote extensive documentation guides for basic programming, troubleshooting and assembling robots
Was one of 4 automation engineers at ford Dearborn truck in the paint shop. Managed a crew of 12 hourly UAW line workers. Attended daily meetings on downed equipment and quality and work I had performed. Worked with skilled trades to troubleshoot and repair broken automation equipment. (p1000's, p250's, Behr bell zones, feather dusters). Performed maintenance during shutdown periods and in between shifts as necessary. Was in charge of time keeping, vacation scheduling and payroll for hourly employees. Took training classes as necessary and am 6 sigma green belt certified. Worked with paint suppliers on paint quality and making fluid adjustments. Made programming adjustments to robots as necessary on and offline. Ordered parts as needed for robot repairs and kept a detailed daily one note to record all parts ordered, all work performed and all downed equipment. Worked overtime and filled in for other automation engineers as needed.
Technical specialist, Fanuc Robotics (contracted) Worked in the Fanuc technical support call center in Rochester hills. Helped customers figure out technical issues over the phone. Ordered parts for customers as needed. Sent customers over to field service dept as needed for help with downed equipment. Wrote detailed reports of customer interactions and needs. Sent Fanuc documents to customers as needed to help with repairs. Loaded backup files to test controllers in lab to recreate customer issues.
Managed all UAW workers on the paint processing line at Lansing grand river assembly. Maintained minimal down line time and implemented lean manufacturing practices. Assisted in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with FANUC, DURR, and BEHR robots and robot zones and worked with appropriate maintenance personal when they were needed to repair a down robot or zone. Made program and fluid adjustments on prime, base, and clearcoat zones. Directed PMs as needed during plant shutdowns. Participated in daily and weekly quality meetings implemented new quality standards and addressed problem areas for improvement. Documented all down time, pelt studies, and oven pack readings in computer system. Set weekly schedules for hourly and salary employees and approved vacation times as needed.
(contracted) Begin work for automotive paint customers offline programming work cells. Host customer labs to dial in processes, paths, and paint flows and ratios for coverage. Participate in mod builds at Fanuc facilities to dial in pathing and initial debugging to prepare zones to ship to customer sites. Follow zones to customer sites to commission, final debug and get them running production effectively and proficiently. Offer support remotely and in person to customer employees and management and conduct employee training on operation of paint equipment and GUI's.

(formerly dynamic robotic solutions) Worked and trained in PSC department learning advanced FANUC programming with waterjet, router and laser cutting applications. Took advanced courses both in house and at FANUC in electrical, mechanical and programming as well as waterjet pump repair and installation. Trained and programmed TRUMPF laser cutting heads for automotive applications. Interacted with customers at customer locations to perform programming and maintenance jobs as needed. Used computer knowledge to log in all work performed on customer sites, including programming, mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance as well as service calls and hours worked. Performed in house part runs and tune ins for major manufacturers in waterjet, router, laser, and ultrasonic knife applications. Experience with cutting carpets, fibers, plastics, and metals with various robotic cutting applications Performed yearly maintenance on robots at customer sites, including battery replacements, backups, controller filter cleanings, joint greasing's, and backlash checks.

Trained in GM and FORD lockout tagout Certified Robotic Qualifications Built and programmed training cells Made basic material handling and spot-welding programs

Programmed FANUC robotics cells for Nissan and Honda. Wired and setup robotic cells for PLC and Robot Controls. Installed and programmed camera and IR Vision components to robots to accurately fasten bolts to proper positions, and set proper torque specifications for nut runners. Assembled and fabricated conveyor systems and nut running and fastening cells. Assembled and fabricated press machines for driveshafts and hubs. Traveled with jobs to customer sites and reassembled and installed cells. Debugged and adjusted to be sure cells were operational before leaving customer sites.
(contracted) Assembled and fabricated paint robots (p250, p500, p700, and p1000's) for major automotive. Ran and assembled wiring and pneumatic lines for robot control units and cells. Built rail assemblies for welding and assembly robots. Programmed and tested p-250's before they are shipped out to customers.
