Worked in Automotive and Chemical Industries creating new programs and making changes to existing processes. Program systems utilizing RSLogix 500 and RSLogix 5000 using ladder logic and function block. Program new and existing HMI screens with RSView, FactoryTalk View and FactoryTalk SE/ME. Design DeviceNet systems using AutoCad for integration into Engineering Package for clients. Programmed automotive lines such as doors, lift-gate and sunroof. Collaborate with robot programmer to ensure a smooth start-up of new lines and reduce cycle times. Provide start-up of these systems and the teaching of operators how to run new system. Modify old code and HMI from GEMS to PlantPax for BASF Chemical ensuring all safety measures were up to date and implemented. Created a safety interlock matrix from PLC programs so plant engineers could determine if all safety measures were in place and correct. Integrated safety devices such as light curtains, palm start and safety laser scanners. Communications platforms included Ethernet, DeviceNet and Serial protocols. Provided plant automation support for multiple companies.

Develop base programs for tire machines and other lines involving tire manufacturing. Develop HMI using excel spreadsheets for live inputs from process. I/O checkout and start-up after proprietary programs installed by owner. Troubleshoot electrical issues as they arise during checkout. Terminate sub-panels as needed for new equipment.

Provided on site support from initial ground breaking. Directed electrical and automation vendors field work. Collaborated with vendors to write plc programs and develop HMI screens. Performed for I/O check-out for the entire plant. Worked with Process Engineer to modify code to make process more efficient. Provided 24/7 support 365 days a year. Modified or wrote new code for projects as they arose. Used RSView32 and WonderWare for HMI's. Used RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000 and S7 for program control. Communications platforms included DeviceNet, Profibus, Ethernet and Fiber optic. Troubleshoot and repair DeviceNet, VFD's and weigh scales.
