We are a grinding company and we program the machines to grind parts. I was assigned to help controlling and programming Nachi robot arm. The Nachi robot arm has its own control that is separate from our main control. The final goal is to use our program to control their arm. The learning process is to first read the documents about their product and to learn language in order to figure out how to control the arm. Then we use Nachi language to make the arm move. I have two sets of palettes(I count the holes on the pallet by row and column and the distance in between holes). One side is used to place parts before the grind and the other is for parts after grind. (before and after, left and right). First i put the parts that is about to be grand on the left pallet and measure the distance in between it any we are about to grind on a palette outside of a machine and by measuring, I make robot remember where to load the parts and where to unload the parts, which is the location of the loader. After wait for the machine to finish grinding one part, the robot arm will grab the part and move to another location back to the pallet.

Shadowed senior engineers programmed and build robot hand & computer programmed CNC grinding machines. Programmed Nachi Robot hand to load parts into the machine automatically for advanced precision grinding. Designed parts for machine building with Solidworks & AutoCAD after understanding the grinding process. Evaluated with precision measuring equipment and tested parts' conditions (shape, size, smoothness, and angle) and process as a team to improve quality and design.
