Work Experience(4)
Flex N Gate Shelby Plant assembles a variety of bumper styles for Chrysler. They have two mainlines for assembling the different lights and sensors for these bumpers; which rely on Congex and Keyence vision systems and Nachi Material Handling Robots. My role consisted of monitoring the camera systems for errors and addressing them either through teaching regions of interest and patterns. The vision systems would look for Christmas Trees, Nuts, Labels, and proper color of each bumper. I also supported their sub cells by resolving air pressure issues, robot sequencing problems and operator related matters. I helped Flex N Gate resolve a power Flex issue that was a result of a bad power supply and reached out to certified vendors for the replacement part. During down time I even replaced indicator light bulbs on controller panels and operating stations. ● Testing and troubleshooting of robotic processes ● Troubleshooting of hardware ● Programmed Nachi Robots ●Retrained Regions of Interest and retrained color patterns using Cognex Insight Spreadsheets ●Followed and supported company policies, procedures and work instructions ●Diagnosed and fixed programmable logic controllers and other devices that operate automated equipment ●Provided technica lsupport to maintenance and operations personnel on control system usage and troubleshooting.
Teijin Automotive has some of the same clients as Challenge MFG; however, they use chemical compounds to manufacture doors, hoods, tie bars, crush cans and other components. I was responsible for resolving technical issues on the assembly side of the plant, but I also helped maintenance resolve mechanical issues on the press side of the plant; which included, installing Helix Coils, replacing a Safety Cylinder Lock, Replacing and greasing O-rings and fittings, changing Air Valves, Installing new Hydraulic Pump, trouble shooting conveyor systems and even building their new tool crib. ●Performed troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of control systems,PLCs,HMIs,and SCADA systems ●Collaborated with engineering and maintenance teams to diagnose and address control system malfunctions, electrical issues, and equipment failures. ●Assist in the installation, commissioning, and startup of new control systems and automation equipment. ●Conducted preventive maintenance tasks on control systems and associated components to prevent unexpected failures. ●Monitor control system performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency. ●Maintain accurate documentation of control system configurations, changes, and maintenance activities. ●Supported production and operations teams in troubleshooting and resolving control-related issues.
Maintained, Programmed and setup ABB Robots. Performed Root Cause Analysis in order to reduce downtime and reach production goals. Developed processes to collaborate closely with other essential teams within the Robotics Department. Started Continuous Improvement initiatives that addressed Safety, Quality, Communication and Training. Identified Robotics Team's pain points and developed strategies to resolve them. Tasked I.T with the responsibility to stream line communication by creating a team email, held morning meetings and a schedule that ensured that we provided management with updates on our teams progress. Created Preventative Maintenance schedule for equipment, which were 573 days behind schedule. Help design a survey that would provide data on Interpersonal Relationships, Self-Worth and how these information impact production and turnover rates. ●Strong knowledge of control and electrical system design and its application in automated industrial systems. ●Exceptional communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross functional teams. ● ProficientwithMSOfficeapplications. ● FamiliarwithAutoCAD. ●Proficient with current and legacy PLC including but not limited to, Allen Bradley.
