Work Experience(2)
At the Corning, inc. Diesel Products Division in Painted Post NY I held sole responsibility for programming a process to apply microwave energy for heat-treatment curing of epoxy plugs within a ceramic substrate. I successfully programmed a process which tracked the conveyor position within a microwave treatment chamber of 1 to 21 parts in-process, modulating 0-100kw of microwave energy to effect the correct heat-curing in proportion to the process mass present within the chamber. The system obtained a temperature profile for each part in process using optical pyrometers, storing the temperature snapshot of a moving part and passing the data to the plant MES via network communications.
