A U T O M A T I O N P R O J E C T S: Degating Machine to automate the removal of all unwanted materials such as Gate, Runners and Overflows from Die Cast Component, which was previously completed through Manual Labour. Laser Marking Machine to put Lot Details including Date, Month, Year, Die Information, Time of Production, Comp Number and Quality Status to identify parts in the future. Fluorescent Check Machine to identify crack defects in die cast components. 2 Big Die Casting Machines (Manufacturer: UBE) with individual Load Capacity of 2500 Tonnes to cast cylinder blocks. 12 Fanuc Robots (R-2000iA 165F) in the department used to accurately pick and place parts and for spray work in the die Facilitated the installation of: Designed new fixtures of marking machine for transmission case parts using SolidWorks and applied FEA for design validation. Eliminated PDI Process of a 2-wheeler part to save time in after production till dispatch. Partnered with a colleague to develop an Iron Detect Sensor & installed the same in machine to reduce child part miss defect outflow in 2-wheeler casting parts from 17% to 0%. Played a key role in saving: INR 2,00,000 (around $2415) by designing and building a robot gripper using SolidWorks and in-house materials. 100L industrial jet cooling water per week by implementing a Water Return Flow System in coordination with the Fabrication Team. INR 150000 (around $1811) per annum by eliminating the child product waste in high pressure aluminium die casting. INR 28,80,000 (around $34786) per annum by eliminating child parts in preheat shots. INR 1000000 (around $12079) by modifying a robot gripper part design to reduce setup change time. And also: Contributed to the development of Suzuki in-house BS4 and BS6 diesel engine as part of a CFT. I Improved Productivity of HPDC by 16% within the last 6 years through Automation Projects and Fanuc Robot Path Optimization, with no adverse effects on quality or efficiency. I Developed 6 new parts for die trails, including 2-wheeler crank cases and 4- wheeler cylinder blocks from PP-MPP Pilot to SOP..
