When it come to breakdowns and maintance I understand that this is costly to the company. I do my best to get to understand the machine going through the manuel, reading what the machine is supposed to be doing and reading through the troubleshooting section. Maintance on the machinery/equipment is important as you don't want repetitive breakdowns. I ensure I make proficient repairs to avoid these breakdowns from happening and keep notes on my daily report so next shift knows and understand what I have done.

Understanding what is shown on the drawing is very important, this allows you to see where a problem/issue could be or when setting up a system, reading and understanding allows the system to be setup as required.

When joining KUKA, I got to understand the requirements and ensured that my workmanship was to there standards. Settting up the automotive lines was a great experience, and to see how everything comes together.

When I was working in the oil and gas industy as a field service technician I had chance to get to work on the BOP (Blast Operation Protector), this is one of the most important pieces of equipment of a drillship, the programming used to run this piece of equipment was Rockwell. I had chance to see and understand as I had to open and close values to do testing as well as problem solving. When I was with KUKA I had chance working with the PLC guys as we had to setup, adjust and problem solve. Understanding that a logical process must take place before the next process can happen.

While with KUKA I had to setup and connect the robot and worked side by side with the robot technician and PLC programmer, and got to see and understand a little of what all goes into setting up the cells I worked on.

Engineering and commissioning go hand in hand to me. I take responsiblity for providing crucial support for construction and engineering tasks, to inspect the equipment ensuring they meet required standards and is installed correctly.

I would rate myself a 4 star when working with hydraulics. While working with different companys I gained experience and was sent for different classes. I had to complete the hydraulic section in my trade test to become a qualified fitter. I can read and I understand hydraulic or pneumatic drawings and there symbols.

On management I rate myself 3 stars, I would like to give me 4 stars but been a while since I managed or run a job. But when I do I do my utmost to complete the tasks with my team on time while being safe and efficient, keeping the customer happy and comfortable that have met or exceed their expectations.

While I worked for Hanco enineering and All round engineering, I did alot machining work turning on the lathe and milling on the milling machine. I was tasked with manufacturing and machining to the utmost precision. This was a tedious time consuming process for me in the beginning, but the more I practised the better I became. Putting together different jigs and dies. I enjoyed this and took pride in my completed jobs.

Problem solving and finding the root cause of the problem, can be tedious depending on the complexity of the system around those problems, and identify key points of failure. For myself to solve this is to understand the machinery or equipmet, if I am not to familiar I would go through the manuel to diagnose the problem. Getting experience with the machine or equipment would be the best way to work out what the root cause analysis could be and then if its a consistent issue, to come up with away to make permanent repairs.

I ensure and do my best to be punctual, making sure I meet died line and D. dates. Timming is important to me in my career and in my personal life.
