To maintain machinery and to attend to mechanical breakdowns in solids packing departments. Do preventative maintenance on a daily basis between product change overs. Introduce, update and improve the PPM system by applying knowledge gained from breakdowns. Undertake breakdown maintenance rapidly and skilfully to ensure minimal machinery downtime. Ensure engineering GMP and safety standards are adhered to, maintained and continually improved upon.

Travel to customer sites to install, commission, test, calibrate, and train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV products. Conduct field installations and calibrations of sensors and systems. Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on how to properly operate the system. Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments Billing, inventory and paperwork. Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner. Input into the equipment criticality analysis.Input into the RBI (Risk Based inspection) process for equipment. Supporting the development and data population of the computerised maintenance management system. Input into the development of maintenance plans and procedures. Active participation in safety briefings, safety talks and the Risk Assessment process.
