6 year service contract with ABB Automation to maintain hardware and software of industrial automation system (paper industry). System controlled production parameters, generated production reports and displayed a real-time window to actual production. Ensured client was getting the most out of the system by making recommendations / requests to instrument, production, electrical and engineering departments. Company Comau Duration Jan 1994 to May 1996 Functions Programmer. Software of automation system (motor industry). One system completed at Samcor Pretoria. Two systems completed at Autolatina Buenos Aries. Each system comprised of TCP/IP network that connected Programmable Logic Controllers (Allen Bradley) to a Man Machine Interface system (Intouch and ControlView SCADA), an SQL Server on WinNt 3 for logging errors, production figures etc and Visual Basic front ends producing different reports for various departments. Responsible for specs, complete development and installation of the above network.
