Maintenance Project Manager I was responsable for reducing the MRO total value and creating a strategy for the spare parts. MAGNA INTERNATIONAL COSMA CHINA CHANGCHUN - Changchun, Jilin, China June 2010 - July 2013 Cosma China Changchun is a Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive supplier producing hot forming stamping, small progressive stamping, 3D laser cutting, resistance welding, manual MIG welding, robotic MIG welding, and subassemblies of chassis. 2012 was first year of production with over 270 million in sales. Operational Manager I was responsible for the operations of a 27,000 square meter plant with over 350 employees which is constantly growing with new programs. Direct reports include Logistics Manager, Press Shop Manager, Assembly Manager, Maintenance Manager and Facility Manager Maintenance Manager As Maintenance Manager I was responsible for building a new maintenance department from the ground up. A department was created with a strong focus on preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and KPI driven goals. Heavy duty Brakes, Shears and Saws were used to prepare raw material while MIG Welding and Resistance Welding were used for subassemblies. Both CO2 and YAG lasers were used for blank cutting and Class "A" part trimming respectively. Maintenance Specialist As Maintenance Specialist I provided the technical expertise to relocate production equipment from a facility in Canada which was purchased by Cosma to a facility in Mexico. Responsibilities included creating accurate machine floor print and foundation drawings from the existing conditions in Canada, utility requirements, troubleshooting after reassembly in Mexico, spare parts lists, preventive and predictive maintenance programs. TEAM ACHIEVEMENTS: Six weeks from start of teardown to completion of reassembly of equipment in Mexico Presses capable of cycling 4 days after reassembly Created a strong Preventive Maintenance program Created a low budget Predictive Maintenance program Created a detailed TPM program for production Local maintenance team was able to be independent in 6 months MRO maintained successfully with less than 1% of total machines value MAGNA INTERNATIONAL Sonora Forming Technologies - Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico August 2004 - January 2010 Sonora Forming Technologies is a Tier 1 automotive supplier producing class "A" stampings, médium and large stamping plus vehicle subassemblies for the Ford CD3 program. Parts were produced for over 300,000 vehicle assemblies annually. Assistant Maintenance Manager As Assistant Maintenance Manager I was responsible for a team of 56 people including Electromechanical Technicians, Engineers, Maintenance Planner, Team Leaders and Supervisors. With 1 Tandem line consisting of 5 presses, 1 hydraulic tryout press, 1 Blanking press, 5 transfer presses and 3 progressive presses we achieved an average of 97.5 % availability. Facility maintenance included scrap conveyor, air compressor systems, chiller systems, electrical distribution systems, door and dock systems, air conditioning, air filtration and energy management systems. Graeme Maintenance Planner As Maintenance Planner starting at a Greenfield site I was responsible for creating the MRO spare parts inventory requirements working very closely with purchasing, creating the Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Program, Troubleshooting Support, Shutdown Planning and Maintenance Emergency Response Plans. Dynamic programs were created that improved over time due to detailed downtime analysis and feedback into the programs. The Preventive and Predictive Maintenance program was 100% completed on schedule due to coordinated planning with the production department.
