EVCO Plastics " Automation Technician " August 2017- February 2018 Designed, constructed, and installed new processes for robots to extract and process all new and existing incoming plastic part orders. Programmed and troubleshot HAHN robots and OMRON PLC programs. Filled out purchase orders for all hardware necessary for the automation cells I was responsible for creating and maintaining. Created a few solidworks drawings of the automation cells for more complex cells. Agropur " Maintenance Technician " May 2016 - Jan 2017 Completed routine checklists on ammonia refrigeration systems. Small equipment repair projects. Kept equipment availability up so the single-line process would keep running. Practiced safe, effective troubleshooting methods in a small team-oriented setting. Became familiar with practices and procedures in a food processing plant. *Most equipment/drives were Rockwell/Allen Bradley. Server Products " Operator " Summer 2015 Operated mostly brake press or CNC machines depending on the day. Used effective team communication to fulfill large-part orders. Became familiar with safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
Helped modify, debug, and improve Rockwell Automation PLC controls. Recovered equipment crashes and documented work/sources of downtime to highlight problem areas on the lines. Fox Valley Technical College, Degree received August 2017 Associates in Automated Manufacturing Systems Technology Projects Tesla Audited Panasonic's battery lines in March 2019 with a group of select engineers and technicians from Tesla to assess machine availability and support their teams during the night shift. Created a roadmap for the brand new maintenance department to operate under going forward. Watched production numbers improve by 30%. Watched machine availability up to 80%. EVCO Plastics needed an extraction cell made for a Sleep Comfort plastic part they had begun molding. Filled out PO's for components I needed for the cell. Machined plates myself on a mill, after being taught by the toolmakers on shift previously, and made a cart that could be mounted next to a machine securely whenever they decided to "shoot" more of that plastic part. Programmed and troubleshot the extraction robot. Documented the whole cell and injection mold machine on Solidworks 2016 Wrote the PLC program according to company standards.
Final project at Fox Valley Tech. was designing and building an automation cell. Decided with a group of guys that we would press out "Swedges" for MIG welders. I was responsible for the PLC along with another group member, the HMI design, and helped with wiring and construction where I was able.
