Sometimes it's not easy to see all the answers you want upfront. Sometimes you have to come back, and ask for honest feedback to guage where you can still make improvements. Continous Improvement is not a concept or a last minute method; rather it is a driving force which should be the core of your mission. 20 years ago I had a great mentor that taught me the value of this and it has been a driving force in my sucess. You never quit and you never accept. You Continously Improve.

One of my favorite accomplishments was taking an automated process for parts supply to a main line process and re-engineering the entire plc applications strategy. I built a Level 1 artificial intelligence to recognize production patterns and then use them to deploy the fastest method of delivering mixed products to the process line. This realized an enormous savings that reduced 2 production shifts and one hour per day per shift of worktime.

Developed training materials and individually trained many junior personell during my career.

In my youth I completed a 4 year 1200 hour State Certified Apprenticeship Course in less than ½ the normal time. Throughout my career this expanded heavily when in the textile industry into developing an electrical overhaul of 30 production machines in weaving, inspection, etc... Improved the Barco system which eliminated technical issues with payroll based on piece count. Developed and installed efficiency and environmental compliance controls. In automotive this lead to reverse engineering systems to board and component level and making schematics, installation of new machinery, etc.

1999-Present BMW Manufacturing CO LLC Greer, SC Equipment Service Associate / Control Systems Editor

ESA & SSB responsible for production equipment maintenance and repair and upgrade in BMW Manufacturing Co LLC. Experience with automatic guided vehicles (agv), laser etching, cartesian robots, co-operating robotics, 3D vision robots, Class A surface automation, automated fastening, stackers, pc control systems, plc controls, and electrical controls. Experience with equipment in vehicle assembly and white body. Experience with product launch, safety systems, leadership, and systems development. Trained in FMEA investigation, Lean Six Sigma. Microsoft Share-point Administration. Secured budget savings of $700,000 for F-25 project launch. Eliminated impact of a 3 month construction delay during project. Co-directly responsible for cycle time reductions / increased volume capability on F15 for last product year with less than $200,000 capital investment. Results achieved $1.3 billion in extra sales volume produced; optimized existing equipment without additional shifts.
