Rubber City Machinery Corporation Akron, OH December 2017- Present Senior Electrician/Controls Engineer I am the only Electrician and Controls Engineer and I am responsible for scoping out all of the equipment builds, determining all of the components to be used, ordering all of the parts from various suppliers, laying out and building all of the electrical panels and electrical wiring on the machinery. I then write all of the PLC and HMI programs along with any of the CNC programs that may be used if any Servo systems are incorporated. I troubleshoot, make any and all program edits, finalize all of the electrical drawings, PLC and HMI programming and prepare the machine for shipping to our worldwide customers. I am also responsible for all service work and warranty work.

Homer, MI 49245 April 2016 - December 2017 Journeyman Electrician/ Machine Repairman I am the sole Journeyman with both Electrician and Machine Repair cards, I do all of the PLC programming and troubleshooting. It is my responsibility to ensure that all of the CNC lathes, drills, mills, robots, along with all of the auxiliary equipment run at maximum output with an huge emphasis on safety, quality, and repeatability. I do both mechanical, and electrical repairs along with servo and CNC programming and electrical troubleshooting. I also make all of the robot repairs, electrical and mechanical on both Kuka and Fanuc robots, all of the electrical repairs and improvements on the Cemb balancers and gages, and troubleshooting and programming using RSLogix 500, and 5000 for AB, and troubleshooting of the Siemens plc's and servo drives.

Jackson, Michigan March 2015 - April 2016 Senior Machine Builder/Electrician/CNC Repair/Controls I was the lead machine builder/ programmer on numerous types of custom built machine tools for the automotive,aerospace, and tool industries. I built all of the mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, grease, cooling, and machining aspects of custom machine tool building. After assembly I programmed and troubleshot the equipment to work out any bugs and assist the customer with the machine at runoff to ensure that the machine was running at quoted cycle times, and consistently running at repeatable production levels. I was also responsible for all of the plant electrical and all of the CNC repairs in the tool room. I troubleshot electrical and mechanical issues on the manual and CNC lathes, mills, machining centres, laser cutter, surface grinders, saws, and welders. I also trained and signed off on apprentices hours who were working towards their Journeyman's cards.

Jackson, Michigan May 2012 - March 2015 Maintenance Supervisor /Lead Controls Engineer/ Journeyman Electrician-Machine Repairman My Duties included supervising the maintenance department while working to create and establish a world class preventative maintenance program and to update and maintain all aspects of the plant and equipment. I was charged with creating a spare parts program ensuring minimal downtime on all plant equipment including all of the straight-side presses, OBI presses, and gap frame presses up to 1500 tons and all of the associated weld cells and assembly cells. The PM program that I established decreased our downtime from 2.5 hours per machine per week on average to less than 90 mins per month per machine on average over a 1 year period. Due to this downtime reduction we were able to cut out an entire shift, going from a 3 shift operation to a 2 shift operation with better production numbers. I was the sole Controls Engineer and I maintained all of the Plc's, servo systems, vision systems, and ABB and Fanuc robotics programs, backups, and network backups. I spec'd only Allen Bradley components for all new machine builds and equipment rebuilds especially concerning the PLC's, Servo and VFD drives, and HMI's. I was also responsible for all outside machine builds and purchases, new machine run offs, and the integration into our existing manufacturing lines and new lines.

Battle Creek, Michigan November 2001 - May 2012 Journeyman Electrician-Controls/ Maintenance Sub Leader I started at Denso as an Electrician in 2001 and worked my way up to sub leader in the Aluminum Evaporator department. While at Denso I built and setup a robot trainer for apprentices and new hires, taught myself how to rebuild Denso robot controllers AC and DC, and implemented numerous cost saving programs. Some examples include speeding up crimper machines, cutting down on nitrogen consumption in the helium leak chambers, and minimizing downtime by enforcing the PM program, and utilizing our CMMS maintenance logging system. I had numerous apprentices work under me who gained their Journeyman cards while employed at DMMI. I took many classes and gained many years of experience in Motoman and Denso robotics, Denso and Banner vision systems, servo controllers, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, and Yaskawa PLC controllers, Hans laser welders, and helium leak detection systems. U.S. Filter Marshall, Michigan June 1993 - September 2001 Electrician/Machine Repair Apprentice 1993 Dual Carded Journeyman 1999 While employed at US Filter I was in the apprenticeship program that consisted of training under Master and Journeyman Electricians and Journeyman Machine Repairmen for 8000 hours to learn the trades of Electrical, Machine Repair, and Hydraulics/Pneumatics. I built several electrical, robotic, laser etching, hydraulic, pneumatic, water cooling, oil, and grease systems on our custom built machine tools. Some examples of the equipment I helped build include robotic palletizing machines, machining centers, vertical milling machines, pipe benders, robotic welders, assembly equipment, laser welding, and drilling/milling machines.
