General Electric Co. - Greenville, SC: Lead Engineer / Technologist (Dec. 2007 – May 2017) Data Systems Engineering lead engineer for development, design and implementation of state of the art data acquisition systems. Worked with several external teams to develop control rooms, test floor layout and capability. This 1.5 yr project required leading a team of 8 people and with the joint effort of several teams resulted in the successful construction and implementation of GE's new mechanical lab. Successfully completed several wind turbine component tests which included a large gearbox test consisting of an 8000+ HP electric motor and multiple generators in series for torque loading. Worked with team to design new EMI shielded DAC cabinets for these high EMI tests – patent awarded. Worked with a test team in GE's combustion laboratory: supporting and improving test processes, programing with LabVIEW, researching and implementing equipment upgrades and facility modifications (2012-2015). Currently working with vendor to finalize design and document two high temperature A/D measurement devices one for pressure measurement and one for temperature measurement. These new devices will be used on upcoming turbine tests, significantly reducing the cost of installing instrumentation. General Electric Co. - Greenville, SC: Lead Test Engineer (Aug. 2004 – Nov. 2007) Prototype validation test engineer. Responsible for world wide remote site implementation of the Gas Turbine Technology Laboratories' largest data acquisition system (prototype power plants up to 3000 static parameters). Tasks can include all levels of test preparation including: equipment purchase, scheduling, budgets, design engineer interface, engineering and contractor supervision, direction of sensor implementation, acquisition hardware setup, remote database transfer & maintenance, equipment maintenance (calibration, troubleshooting and repair).
