Programmed systems to stop parts in position, 3D scan tires, measure gaps, find defects in parts with special lighting, inspect metal rapidly after stamping, and more.

This is a 3D Laser Profiler / Scanner System. Used for tire scanning, cabinet parts, edge guiding, automotive parts, welding, and more,. Programmed vision and custom HMI computer software with SDK

Programmed, supported, and updated many systems. Automotive stamping, metal coating electrolysis, compression molding, tire testing. Familiar with Ladder, STL/SCL, IL. Can also update / program many of their HMIs from the embedded options, to PC based SCADA WinCC Types Familiar with Soft PLC, ET200S remote I/O (with safety modules, at times). Sinamics 120 drive support and programming (VFD and Servo). WinCC for mobile pendant HMI. S7-1200 / 1500 with TIA Portal to do machine field support.

Prototyped vision applications for wood and automotive industries for part inspection in 2D and 3D. Using both 2D area scan gigE cameras and laser profilers with HALCON.

Adjusted program sequencing and positioning, reverse engineered and improved PLC integration from existing app.

Integrated 3D vision on collaborative robot to correct position for part picking. Debugged a couple small part palletizing cells

Restored online function, and simplified complex 5 camera vision system. Used FLIR cameras + Cognex VisionPro. Migrating the platform to use machine learning techniques. Parts go down the line at very high speed, and have an air blow-off escapement.

Coordinated upgrade of 20 ft x 20ft large part vision inspection machine. Programmed Sanyo Denki PLC / Motion controller and drives for new servos. Exor HMI for control interface. SensoPart VISOR vision system, Custom PC software for file management and report generation.

Support PLC and Robot programming updates. Debugging AutomationDirect servos, Yaskawa robots, Allen Bradley GuardLogix PLC, Weintek HMIs. Cell glues, assembles, and trim part halves with robots.

Repurposed Robot at end of line to transit scrap material from incoming conveyor to shredder. Installed 2D laser area scanner to detect part drops. Adjusted robot paths and tooling actuation in program. Integrated new sensors on line PLC for conveyor control.Added remote drive control to shredder PLC / VFD. Synced line PLC with shredder PLC and robot.

Develop software to facilitate integration with other automation or manufacturing lines.

Updated PLC versions, Later Siemens Step 7 generation to TIA portal. Coordinated with electrical contractors, vision integrators, and robot programmers. Added sensors, did IO checkout, fixed some bugs. Did in US and MX.
