BMW MC, Greer, SC 6/2013-9/2015 Equipment Service Associate Encompassed all technical aspects of ensuring that assembly lines produced body parts for painting and final assembly of automobiles. Responsible for supporting the Body in White robot and assembly equipment, coached new team members in PM's and understanding of manufacturing processes and maintaining a high level of runtime efficiency. Leading techs by example and practice, broadened others knowledge in robotics and PLC sequencing ZF Steering Systems, Florence, KY 5/2011-11/2012 Industrial Maintenance Technician Responsible for servicing several production areas and raising the maintenance levels to acceptable standards. Duties included performing Preventative Maintenance and FMEA recording through SAP, servicing complex assembly equipment, CNC, Injection molding, ZF manufactured assembly robot (ABB, Fanuc, CNC) cells, and testing stations. Other duties were to study and improve processes on my lines. Increased runtime stats and reduced scrap while increasing cycle time, improved laser etching and inkjet printing quality. Process supported the BMW, GM, and Ford hydraulic rack and pinion steering area through to end contract. Assisted with decommissioning of the Ford line. Faurecia, Louisville, KY 2/2010-4/2011 Senior Maintenance Technician Hired on for the Chrysler product launch. Setup and maintained various CNC, Acro Robotic Edge Welder Stations (Motoman and ABB robots), Automated and Manual pieces of equipment. Setup, time study, and work flow recording. Cycle-time adjustments for welding exhaust assemblies (CD2 reduced from 68 to 55 sec. on the revised Chrysler fixture). Responsible for the entire plant as Lead Electrician on my shift and Chrysler Area assembly group for Electro-mechanical servicing. Trained new Mechanics on my shift as well as train employees to operate CNC equipment. ADDITIONAL PRIOR EXPERIENCE UPS Plant Engineering Mechanic (5yrs) Support for engineering department, provide Safety monitoring and audits, Hazmat recording and reporting. Fire Safety and Auditing for the Longwood Facility. Storm Water and Waste Prevention auditing. Contractor / Outside Services management. Conflict and Escalation procedures. TPM and Inspections. Workload delegation. Inventory control and purchasing within limits. Facility ran with between 15 and 18 breakdowns for 273 pieces of assets according to the regional annual report RPS / FedEx Ground Senior Tech/Tech Supervisor (5Yrs) Run at rate delayed on execution caused by sorter system damaging test cubes at bottle neck/choke points. Assigned to analyze and rework all slides, turns, and chutes to reduce damages and increase flow, was able to reduce damages, and I increase the flow rate by 1/3. We made our run at rate 3 weeks before opening and I was awarded several service awards. At 6 months, promoted to Tech 3 and on hired date made Tech Supervisor, trained all techs and handled conflict incidents according to corporate policy. Created the Inventory stock areas. I set-up the CMMS and completed the data entry for Asset ID and PM scheduling. Safety Auditing, Hazmat and EPA Auditing for SWWP at the fuel Islands. Facility was named by corporate as the flagship of HUBs and a standard for new facilities. I became the point of contact by corporate engineering and supported the facility as pro-temp Maintenance Manager for 9 months (Previous manager left for another company, left a crude outline of my accomplishments during his tenure at RPS.) I was asked to move to Champaign, IL to open and start-up another facility. By the end of 1999, I had started 2 facilities successfully, with excellent grades according to Hub Management.
