Programming Skills (1)
I have worked thoroughly with Fanuc Robots through Mig Welding for over 7 years. I specialize with Fanuc RJ3, R30i-A, R30iB, R30iB+ software systems. I maintain 38 in-house production M-710iC & 120iC Arc Mates. Develop program logic to adapt with Engineering revisions by adjusting robot programs to compensate tooling shim changes and complete reprogram adjusts for new model introduction. I also provide analysis support for various initiatives as needed. Apply Continuous Improvement methodologies in the development of standard processes and methods which support and sustain process improvement, cost reduction, project flow and quality. I'm in charge of ensuring our Smart Manufacturing Platform robot data collector (5ME Freedom eLog) reports correctly and accurately. This robot data collector communicates with 38 in-house robot systems using their individually set IP addresses. I remote into their Interface Host PC to resolve any connection discrepancies and work with the Cincinnati, Ohio company directly with platform updates. I have contributed cost savings by integrating BG (Background) Logic to each robot that prevents the robot operator from welding the same frame twice causing a double weld to occur, which would cause the frame to be scraped. This mixed logic works by turning on a set Digital Output (DO) at the end of the program run, then scans the SICK Safety Curtains for a set Digital Input (DI) to turn off. Once the operator begins to remove the frame with a hoist crane, the chains on the hoist will block the SICK Safety Curtains vision, which will turn off the originally set DO. When a new program is started, I implied logic through IF Statements that check if the originally set DO is turned off. I have integrated PLC Ladder Logic that prevents the robot operator from resetting Collision Detect alarms that occur, preventing any further damage that may happen to the robot. When a robot collision occurs, I have our Collision Guard set to trigger a set Digital Output (DO) to turn on. Inside the robots Ladder, I have added a string to see if this same DO is on. Once the DO turns on, it will SET a separate DO to also trigger on. When the operator presses reset on the fault, the DO set in Collision Guard will turn off but the separate DO will remain on. At my current facility, our technicians have to remote into the robots Teach Pendant to trigger on or off any I/O. The ladder will continuously jump in a faulted loop until it sees the separate DO turned off.
