Can set up Word or Excel templates and automate with VBA

I have written some interesting code, including a French/English file translator, scripts to run whole drawing archives through the translator, a log file reporter (match up start/end of incidents and calculate their duration), a cross-compiler for a mini computer, a documentation collator, and many proprietary control programs. Most recently completed an automated report using VBA for MS Word.

I have managed complex projects, performing much of the PLC coding, VB6 coding, Oracle DB design, Oracle PL/SQL coding, and SCADA work. My position for most of my career was Project Engineer, which meant taking responsibility for delivering a complete project to the customer, including training, and supporting it after delivery. This has necessarily meant being a generalist rather than a specialist.

The early part of my career involved maintenance of industrial equipment, from minicomputers to PLCs to 3-mode controllers. In those earlier days I also did my own car maintenance, including brakes and engine work. I have updated the valves and rings on several VWs and a Pinto. Replaced the pistons and cylinders with an oversized set on one VW.

I have managed many projects, mostly small but some large.

I have worked extensively with mini-computers, especially upgrades from all-in one systems to distributed PLC+SCADA systems. For most of my career I maintained Assembly software across multiple shops.

Available for Automation projects. Maintaining Word Automation for existing customer.

First Project: SCADA startup on a production machine. Updated database connection, user interface clients, and remote clients for process technician use. Second Project: Coaching many Plant IT departments on new operational requirements and tracking their progress.

Projects: o Created Fault Reporting Program in QB (Quick Basic) o Created automated annotation system for flowcharts in QB. o Created Cross-Compiler for the T2000 Mini, using QB on PC o Upgraded peripheral devices.

Good course, taken in anticipation of having to do "both sides" of SCADA + PLC projects, but this did not happen. I stayed on the SCADA side.

I was excited about this course, but as it happened our needs changed and I never applied it.
