Control Engineer 2005 – Present Responsible for equipment integration designs on existing and new automotive product lines. This consisted of estimating capital cost for OTC Robots, electrical integrations and plc controllers. Design of electrical controls using AutoCAD and PLC programming. Electrical interface consist of implementing safety controls, human interface and fixture/part identification, between OTC robots and Allen Bradley plc. Other responsibilities included troubleshooting of all major equipment failures. This consisted of diagnosing and repairing electronic/electrical failures to mechanical press equipment, automatic feed lines, resistance welders and automated production lines. Cost reductions by troubleshooting and preventing equipment failures and enhancing equipment cycle times.
Maintenance Supervisor 2002 – 2005 Responsible for all maintenance functions required for supporting production, Engineering and facilities repair. Responsibilities included overseeing a maintenance crew of ten, ordering of all maintenance repair parts and production supplies.
Process Engineer 1998 – 2002 Responsible for new automotive productions launches. This accounted for estimating the capital equipment cost, operator requirements to meet customer required cycle times, and new equipment design concept, capability approval, and facility process flow plan to meet lean manufacturing techniques. Implemented cost reductions by troubleshooting and preventing equipment failures and enhancing equipment cycle times.
