Creating Your Professional Profile

Your profile is your digital resume on FEED. A complete, well-crafted profile helps you stand out to customers looking for automation professionals.

Step 1: Basic Information

After signing up, you'll be prompted to fill in your basic details:

  • Full Name - Your legal name as it will appear on contracts
  • Location - City and state where you're based
  • Phone Number - For account verification and urgent communications
  • Profile Photo - A professional headshot (or choose from our default avatars)

Step 2: Professional Details

This section showcases your expertise:

Primary Occupation

Select your main field of work (e.g., PLC Programmer, Robot Programmer, Controls Engineer).

Years of Experience

Your total experience in the automation industry.

Hourly Rate

Your desired base hourly rate. This is what you want to earn - customers may negotiate.

Tip
Research market rates for your occupation and location. Competitive rates get more offers while still ensuring fair pay.

Step 3: Skills and Certifications

Add the manufacturers and software you're experienced with:

  • Fanuc, ABB, KUKA - Robot brands
  • Allen-Bradley, Siemens - PLC platforms
  • Ignition, FactoryTalk - HMI/SCADA software

Rate your proficiency for each (1-10 scale).

Step 4: Work Experience

Add your employment history:
