Your profile is your digital resume on Automate America. A complete, well-crafted profile helps you stand out to customers looking for skilled professionals.

Step 1: Basic Information

After signing up, you'll be prompted to fill in your basic details:

• Full Name - Your legal name as it will appear on contracts
• Location - City and state where you're based
• Phone Number - For account verification and urgent communications
• Profile Photo - A professional headshot (or choose from our default avatars)

Step 2: Professional Details

This section showcases your expertise:

Primary Occupation

Select your main field of work (e.g., PLC Programmer, Robot Programmer, Controls Engineer).

Years of Experience

Your total experience in your trade.

Hourly Rate

Your base hourly rate: the rate you enter is the rate everyone sees. When you apply to a contract, there is no bidding and no negotiating: the rate on the contract is the rate, and you are paid exactly what you see.

Step 3: Skills and Certifications

Add the manufacturers and software you're experienced with:

• Fanuc, ABB, KUKA - Robot brands
• Allen-Bradley, Siemens - PLC platforms
• Ignition, FactoryTalk - HMI/SCADA software

Give each one a star rating (one to five) and say what you have done with it in its About.

Step 4: Work Experience

Add your employment history:

• Company name
• Job title
• Dates of employment
• Key responsibilities

Step 5: Availability

Turn on I am available for work when you can take work. It counts for 7 days, so turn it on again each week you are still available. On every list page, boosted professionals come first, then professionals marked available, then the most reviewed, then the most recently updated.

Completing Your Profile

The more you fill in, the more customers can see about what you do. Focus on:

1. Professional photo
2. Detailed skills with ratings
3. At least 3 work experiences
4. Updated availability status

Turn on I am available for work whenever you can take work: available professionals are listed right after boosted ones.
